I searched sites high and low for the best price and was able to find it for less than half the price of any other. It came in excellent condition, brand new, still in the wrapping!

Jessica Simpson, positive role model? She may not know what's inside a Chicken of the Sea can, but Reality Tour Live, her first concert DVD, shows that the singer, who's known for celebrity tabloid headlines and as the co-star (with husband Nick Lachey) of a show (Newlyweds) said to establish a new standard for dumb blondes, is not so dumb after all. In fact, Simpson reveals herself to be a more-than-capable entertainer, treating her droves of young, mostly female fans to a show that might best be described as wholesome, in a sexy but never raunchy kinda way. She may play on her image as a pratfall-prone dizt (especially in an opening Spinal Tap moment which finds her unable to locate the stage at Los Angeles' Universal Amphitheater), but the girl can sing--and without the melismatic excess displayed by most of her pop tart peers. Along with delivering the hits (including the single "Angels," with a video that's part of this DVD package, and her remake of Berlin's "Take My Breath Away"), Simpson chats close-up with some fans, gives lots of love to her family, and dispenses homilies of the "success comes from within" variety; pretty standard stuff, but it seems earnest enough, and the crowd adores her. Her pop-soul croonings are no threat to Aretha Franklin, but if she can develop a distinctive musical style, find a few better songs, and eliminate some of her vocal affectations, Jessica Simpson could become a talent to be reckoned with. --Sam Graham

Controversial issues raised in Sudie & Simpson 5 out of 5 stars.

Sudie & Simpson effectively and accurately portrayed many issues that were controversial back in its 1940s setting. These issues include racism, sexism and molestation. I happened upon the movie as it was being aired on the Lifetime Channel. Sara Gilbert and Louis Gossett, Jr. both did an excellent job conveying their characters' emotions within the dialogue.The most prevalent issue in this movie is racism. I found Sudie and the entire town's ignorance and feelings towards another race shocking and somewhat offending. However, I realized that her frame of mind was consistent with those who lived back in that time period. Sudie, unlike her fellow town mates, however, was not so quick to pass judgment on Simpson. I was especially moved as I watched a friendship develop between the two.
Sexism and molestation are other issues apparent in this movie. Back then, people believed everything bad that happened to a woman was considered her fault, and because of that, women would just have to accept whatever happened to them and not tell anyone else about it. Sudie and her friends seemed to have that mentality throughout the movie. They also have the mentality that adults don't listen to what a child has to say.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who wishes to educate themselves about controversial issues such as race, sex, and molestation. Though set in the 1940s, the issues that were controversial then are still controversial now, although on a smaller scale. Those who watch this movie should keep in mind that the movie was set during a time when racism was still widespread, and because of that, moviegoers should be more "thick-skinned" about some of the comments made throughout the film.

I was completely satisfied with the delivery of Amazon and the content of the DVD as well. Martin Simpson does an absolutely wonderful job in this DVD which can be highly recommended for every advanced guitar player interested in open tunings. Thanks a lot to Martin Simpson and Amazon.

Me and especially my girlfriend both love the Simpsons. She explained to me a while back that they had them on dvd! I had never seen them so I checked on amazon to see if this epic rumor was true. Of course I found out it was true! Her birthday was coming up soon and I just so happened to find a deal with seasons 1 thru 6 for a great price! I jumped on the deal, the DVDs came very swiftly, and my girl and I enjoy them very much! The DVDs are great. If you love the Simpsons, I suggest you try and find a deal like the one I found!

I bought this DVD almost 3 weeks ago. It is GREAT! I love it. It is one of the best making of the videos. Her & her Mom had a lot to do with the making of the videos, especially in "With You". Great & flawless! Also, buy "In This Skin" CD!-Pisces the "Zodiac Girl" & shoutout to Billy, Nico, & Alysha of "Spice Cousins"

This DVD is great. It comes with Jessica Simpson's videos "With you" and "Sweetest sin", besides its making offs."Sweetest sin" is one of the sexiest videos of all times. Jessica is awsome in the waterfalls with her husband, Nick Lachey. She looks free and happy to express her feelings and sing about sex without any guilty.
The making off is interesting, showing how the video was conceived and how cold the water was at the day of the shooting.
"With you" is a catchy pop song which has become the symbol of MTV's "Newlyweds" show. It is a kind of summary of what happened in season 1, having Jessica e Nick's home as the set. On the video, Jessica eats "chicken of the sea", making fun of herself, and lies on a floor full of dirty clothes (remember the pilot episode?).
The making off is cool, showing the interaction between the video director and Jessica, who was responsible for the video/single success.
If you are a Jessica fan, buy this DVD right now. You won't regret!
