If you have seen the first 4 seasons this is a must see! With the characters going four years into the future they are able to explore more interesting and diverse story lines which keeps you wanting more and more.
If you haven't seen the first 4 seasons, you will still enjoy this. It has moved four years into the future so it's almost as if they are starting again. You will love all the characters and the special features is an added extra worth viewing.

The Cleverest Show Ever Made 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Seriously, only one show can get the superlative rating. I've thought about it, too, and if there's ever been a more clever show, I haven't seen it.

I didn't watch this for years, because I thought Jerry Seinfeld's face was too ugly. Yep, I can be that shallow!

But then, I heard it being discussed around the office water cooler every week for over a year. And you know you did too. So I finally tuned in. Weekly in prime time, perhaps year 7, and five days a week in early evening reruns.

And now, at last, I've seen every episode ever made, in order, and I must say they're all hilarious, except for a few that are merely very funny. To state the obvious, it started with Jerry doing "bits" and George listening/commenting, then grew into an ensemble piece.

Did they know how much talent Michael Richards (Fridays) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (SNL) was bringing to the cast, or were they just very lucky? In my case, I was a Michael Richards fan long before Seinfeld, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasn't all that memorable on SNL, so that was a nice surprise.

But you know why this show's getting five stars, right? The writing! Always tight, always clever, with an excellent mix of physical humor, low humor, very intelligent humor, maximum use of the acting talents it had, and those tight endings that neatly tied together threads which really seemed impossibly disparate. And all in only 22 minutes a week. Wow!

As you may have guessed, this isn't something I'm gonna watch from start to finish one time -- I just did that -- and then get rid of. Oh no, it stays on my shelf, to be watched again and again. It doesn't matter if it's an episode I've seen once or 10 times, it's always good for another viewing.

PIRATED? 1 out of 5 stars.
1 of 14 people found this review helpful.

If DVDs are sticking or stopping. . they are probably pirated . I have gotten ONE DVD "I'll Cry Tomorrow" that was pirated .. resolution should be Super IF not 'pirated and then it would be .. 'not very good' as well .. I was going to buy the set until I read the two reviews .. shame on you Amazon .. PRIRACY is ILLEGAL . people can be find $250k and up to 5 years in prison .. I think you had better WATCH from whom you buy .. if NOT put out by the studio .. AND Boxed sets usually have BONUS material on them .. Ala "Get Smart" put out by Time/Life for the first year . now Warner Home Video is putting out each year per year .. NO bonus material . but if someone copies the 'shows' from . Oh well.. Buyer beware! ..
I first bought the Susan Hayward Movie I wanted in VHS form .. I phoned Amazon and told them to get a tape that is bout 1" long is NOT an authorized/studio VHS .. they refunded the money and I chose a DVD of same movie .. resolution was awful .. I knew . but did NOT call again .. BUT if you are getting sticky .. jerky & bad resolution DVDs . Call them .. ask for refund .. tell them it is pirated and search the web to report the seller .. Now Perhaps these are NOT pirated . but a few were bad .. Just remember .. Buyer beware ! .. Too much of this piracy going on .. residuals NOT being paid to those who deserve them . and IF Amazon is buying in bulk from same person/company .. NOT a STUDIO . then 'that is the person the FBI wants to find . Fine & jail' ..

Terrific extras make an already good season a must-have set for fans. 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

There's little else to add to what others have said of the season itself. Instead, I wanted to note the great extras that make this DVD set a nice buy. Several are of the same type as previous season sets:

There are audio commentaries for six episodes, the first by Marc Cherry and some writers with nice tidbits (season 3 was to end with the revelation of Bree faking her pregnancy but ABC didn't think that was dramatic enough so they came up with Edie's "Hanging"). The other five are "Couple commentaries" with nice banter between the actors and some fun stuff (like Marcia Cross marveling at how her cleveage was so big early in the season).

"Desperate From Beginning to End" looks at the creation of an episode, this one the tornado ep. It notes what a challenge it was with all the stunts and special effects work and how amazed they were ABC let them destory the set like that. It's a great insight to how they created the amazing story.

Hanging with the Men of Wisteria Lane" has the male actors bowling and sharing stories about the show.

"Cherry Picked" are Marc Cherry's half-dozen favorite scenes from the season.

There are also a dozen deleted scenes, many filler but some interesting and fun. This includes the alternate ending for the season finale and it's clear that Cherry made the right move changing it.

So overall, great extras flesh the season out and make this rebounding series back on its game.

My Girls love it 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

We watched this probably 50 times in the month prior to Christmas. Caillou is the only show both my daughters 4 and almost 2 will watch. They don't care for the other DVDs as they don't like the puppet and dancing segments. I think they like the relationship between Caillou and Rosie as it is similar to theres. I liked the multicutural flare of this DVD. Extras were of minimal interest.

Editorial Review:

Editorial Review:

Annette. To legions of Mickey Mouse Club fans she was magic. Chosen by Walt himself as an original cast member, Annette soon became the most popular Mousketeer and was given a daily series of her own. Showcased here is the entire fish-out-of-water series, about an innocent girl from the country who moves to the suburbs to live with her well-to-do aunt and uncle. Airing during the third and final season of The Mickey Mouse Club, the 20-episode series was unlike earlier series -- it featured original music including the song that helped launch Annette's music career. Enriching this celebration of Annette are the two complete Mickey Mouse Club episodes that introduced and concluded the series, plus a new tribute to her remarkable career and more. Featuring exclusive introductions by film historian Leonard Maltin, this is a timeless collection from generations past for generations to come.

Excellent Series 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This box set is very good quality. The shows have been restored and look like new. There are some very good specials about the Addams family show, cast and guest cast members. I don't like the fact that they have made the disks double sided but this is a personal dislike. I would definitely recommend this set.

Great 5 out of 5 stars.

The Addams Family is the Best!!!! 5 out of 5 stars.

Hey, I remember watching this show as a kid in reruns. The humor is classic and timeless. To bad today's sitcoms do not come close. If you want a good laugh then get this collection or just get it for Cousin IT.

Addam's Family Tricks and Treats 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I loved the Addam's Family movies so I thought I'd give the original series a shot. I was and am very pleased. This is a show that has held up very well. It's entertaining and funny. I read another review that said that the laugh track was annoying or something like that. I didn't find it annoying at all, in fact, I think it adds to it. I think the price is quite reasonable. Artwork on the dvd's would make them better but that's the trade-off for the small package and three full seasons of double-sided dvds.

Almost! 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

The movie is fun, especially for long-time fans. There are many layers - it was nice to watch it at home and let it all sink in. I bought the Blu-Ray version of the film - while there's no denying that it looks great, the extras weren't as exciting as touted in the description. There's barely any additional footage - deleted scenes or otherwise and there's still no explanation of Stanford's paltry storyline. Also, no "cutting room floor" extras of the rumored Aiden storyline. I was expecting a lot more, but still enjoyed the actual film. You aren't missing anything by purchasing the DVD version, as far as I can tell. And you'll save a few bucks!

Love this movie! 5 out of 5 stars.

I have watched this movie about 4 time since I got it (which wasnt that long ago). If you have a wide screen tv, don't get the full screen movie.

You won't be disappointed 5 out of 5 stars.

Even if you didn't watch the tv series, you will really enjoy this movie. The women are still their awesome selves, the clothes are off the charts and then there is The City! What a great representation this movie gives of NYC. Just plan to enjoy the movie a lot!

We get it - get on with it! 3 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I'm a huge Boston Legal fan,but was quite disappointed with this season.

It's been quite obvious from the first season that the writers of this show are more politically left leaning, as am I, and in the past have enjoyed the Denny/ Right - Alan/ Left themed shows.

However this season got tiring, as every episode seemed a lecture on the evils of the Bush administration, or a lesson and lecture on global warming and nuclear arms. All worthy subjects, but for me not one I want to engage in seriously with show that I usually watch to escape the real world. Writing that has become so blatantly one sided and preachy in a so-called omedy/drama frustrates me. If we want the news, we'll watch it.

Please get back to more entertaining storylines!

Boston Legal Season Last...? 2 out of 5 stars.
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Looks like the writers are about out of ideas...I'd guess one more season and this series loses viewer interest...the biting panache of the first season or two has dwindled down into the mindless drivel of a daytime soap opera...with a very slightly legal overtone.

Hopefully Helpful Information 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

This isn't supposed to be released until next week as of my writing this but i stumbled across a copy that must have shipped early and made it to the shelves at my local walmart earlier tonight. I was one of the guys who grew into their adolescence watching this show and it filled the void that pokemon left when it became considered to juvenile after sixth grade.

This season contains the following 25 episodes:

180 Warriors of the Dead- Goku meets Grand Kai and runs into Cell & Frieza Again
181 Tournament Begins- Goku enters another world tournament
182 Water Fight- Other World Tournament plays out, quarter finals
183 Final Round- Other world tournament heats up, final round begins
184 Goku vs. Pikkon- Other world tournament ends, will Goku or Pikkon win
185 Gohan Goes to High School- 7 years after cell, Teen Gohan goes to high school
186 I Am Saiyaman- Gohan becomes a super hero
187 Gohan's First Date- Gohan is blackmailed into a date
188 Rescue Videl- Gohan must...rescue videl
189 Blackmail- Gohan is blackmailed into world tournament by Videl
190 I'll Fight Too!- Other Z fighters want in on world tournament
191 The Newest Super Saiyan- Trunks and Goten have secrets, Videl meets Chi-Chi
192 Take Flight, Videl- Gohan teaches Videl and Goten to fly
193 Gather for the Tournament- Everyone meets at the tournament, some old friends finally reunite
194 Camera Shy- Everyone is at tournament, prelims begin
195 The World Tournament- The world tournament junior division begins
196 Trunks .vs. Goten- World tournament juniors continue
197 Best of the Boys- Who will win Goten or Trunks?
198 Big Trouble, Little Trunks- Trunks fights Mr. Satan/Hercule, Goku is confronted by mystery men
199 Who Will Fight Who?- The important fighting order is decided, and manipulated
200 Forfeit of Piccolo- Everyone is stunned when Piccolo forfeits, what could be his reason?
201 A Dark and Secret Power- Videl fights a man stronger than expected
202 Videl is Crushed- Her opponent prolongs the match totorture Videl
203 Identities Revealed- Gohan takes the ring but blows his disguise
204 Energy Drain- Two mystery men have a surprise for Gohan which will lead us towards the Babadi, Majin Buu saga.

These episodes are mostly considered filler that lead into the final major villain of Dragon Ball Z and all the Majin Buu saga's. I however enjoy seeing Gohan just be Gohan for a bit before getting back into the action and the first few episodes are Goku entering a tournament in the after life which are at the least entertaining if not a repeat of what we've already seen. I remember liking how they take Videl's character from someone i didn't like at all and made her likeable as episodes went on with the interaction between she and Gohan, it reminds me of Dragon Ball's earlier episodes and Chi-Chi being reintroduced towards the end.

I personally enjoy these episodes but by far my favorite season will always be the cell games saga, maybe because of the time of my life they aired (i was the same age Gohan is at) or the subject's they covered and area's they ventured, they will always be my favorite and the sixth season set was the best out of all of them as far as the episodes go. it may be that after that season I began feeling too old for DBZ but I liked where that saga left off on a high point and in a good place.

However, I find the whole series enjoyable and these episodes are no different, actually I'm finding myself enjoying them now almost more than when they originally aired because the aniticipation that used to stay with me during episodes to see where they were going and when and what the next battle would be is gone now and i can actually pay attention to the slower parts focusing on other areas besides the fighting.

The box and set itself is the same as always with the booklet and obviously the controversial cropped image. The cropping doesn't bother me much and never has and after buying all the sets so far in I don't see a reason to buy them again without the cropping because for me it won't make that big a difference. I hope for some of you that it does matter that someday they release these in original format but they are more than good enough for me. Some shots you notice the cropping but admtittedly it does make others more cinematic or enhanced.

I always appreciate the preview of the next saga's on the last disc and hopefully the next season will come out as quickly as this one did so we can finish up this series and I can relive all my childhood memories before I get too old.
