I was searching for a new show and "The new adventures of old Christine" was on sale on Amazon.com. I don't live in the US and I have never heard about it however, I decided to buy it. The pilot episode is not so good but the second one is very funny. I kept watching it and I discovered that it is a very, very funny show. My favorite episodes are number 12 "Some of my Best Friends are Portuguese" and 13 "A Fair to Remember", they are hilarious. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and all the cast are doing a great job!

Old Christine is my new favorite 4 out of 5 stars.

The New Adventures of Old Christine has been a weekly favorite of mine since it began. I've never purchased an entire tv series' DVDs before but Christine's a keeper & I plan to collect each season. In season 1, you're introduced to each of the characters, a huge handful of hilarious flaws Christine lives with on a daily basis, and you'll probably find something in each episode that makes you realize you might be a little more like Old Christine than you'd like to admit... I enjoy the performances of every single cast member of this show, immensely - from Julia's (old Christine) amazing talent for scripted and physical comedy, to Hamish's (Matthew) low-key wit that is the perfect compliment to Christine's frenzied insanity. The only thing better than this first season is the fact that with each additional season the entire show just gets better and better.

Just as funny as the first season of the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, this second season features 22 hilarious episodes of social and sexual tension as only Julia Louis-Dreyfus can deliver them. Old Christine's relationship with her ex-husband Richard (Clark Gregg) and his new girlfriend New Christine (Emily Rutherfurd) may be leveling out, but there's lots to add: The continued scorn of the meanie moms at her son Ritchie's school, the lure of the new and very hot teacher Daniel Harris (Blair Underwood), brother Matthew's new aspirations to make something of himself, her friend Barb's marital problems and burgeoning interest in Christine's business, and several questionably compatible dates, including New Christine's father Jeff (Scott Bakula), making the scene ripe for love, misunderstanding, and a host of inappropriate remarks and actions. The sense of sincerity and genuine awkwardness in Dreyfus' Emmy-winning portrayal of Old Christine makes this series incredibly funny, and good writing ensures that viewers can relate to Christine's every predicament; whether she's propositioning Ritchie's new teacher, seeking casual sex with Stan the Sad Dad, or dealing with her own inability to get a good night's sleep. Hands down, this show is laugh out funny!! I own both Seasons One and Two. Iam eagerly waiting for the Third Season to come out, whenever that might be. I don't watch too many tv shows on a regular basis, but this show I definitely make it a point to watch. In fact, where I live, it's on twice the same night, one hour apart, on different channels. Sometimes I watch it both times! The combination between Julia Louis Dreyfus, and Wanda Sykes is priceless!! They work perfectly together! In fact, the whole cast does. This show has consistently great writing. I would NOT hesitate to buy every season that comes out. I know I will love it!!
