Season Five of the Xena series may have not been as powerful as season Four was. However some good episodes were in this set. Lyre Lyre was one of my favorites in that season. If I remember right the death of Joxer is in this Fifth season as well.
If you like Xena no matter what then you will enjoy this set as well. Who wouldn't with Lucy and Renee on the screen?

IF YOU DON'T MIND A FEW ASIAN CHARACTERS ON THE BOX, YOU CAN GET THE COMPLETE SET SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR FOR $75.00.

I am a huge fan of this series, even though the last couple seasons "jumped the shark". I loved the first feature film "Fight the Future" (1998). I have yet to see the most recent film "I Want to Believe" (2008) but I really want to, despite the negative reviews it received.
I am still wanting all seasons and film(s) on DVD, but the Fox keeps re-releasing them. I suppose this is a money making ruse. Yet the cost of all nine season set is $809.99? I don't get it. What do I get for this price? I hope characters come to life once the disc is put in the player. In all honesty, the X-Files were one of the best shows on television, but not at this price.

The Truth is Out There" & "Trust No One" were the catch phrases of the informed more-that-meets-the-eye crowd.
The series that defined the 90's Conspiracy Theories. Too bad over-infated egos and greedy network executives and producers ruined it after season 7. That is when the show actually expired.
This is one of the BEST TV Series ever aired - the one every fan covets. I guess that explains the exorbitant price it has attached at AMAZON! (Hence the missing star).
One can find it MUCH cheaper elsewhere.

This is the Complete X-Files Series 1-9 Asian Release. It has the same English soundtrack with all original actor and character voices as the US release. (Asian Language options also available.) It has the same digital quality screen resolution as the US release. It also has an option for Korean language subtitles. Now you can own the entire Nine seasons of The X-Files in one 69 disc Collectors Edition box set! This discs for this set are stored inside of a DVD booklet style holder inside the box, rather than separate boxes for each season. Each disc is color coded for the different seasons. The box art and DVD art is printed in a mixture of mostly Asian and some English language. A Fantastic set that will allow you to own the entire The X-Files television series. High emotion and plenty of butt-kicking saturate this finale of one of the best action series of all time. Hardcore nutball Xena fans have doubtless already seen this episode and will want to revisit it, but casual viewers may want to get up to speed with the Xenaverse before watching (or else they'll miss out on a few seasons' worth of emotional resonance). In their final adventure, Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renée O'Connor) travel to the Land of the Rising Sun to clear up a bit of Xena's dark past and defeat both personal and tangible demons. Their quest, packed with action sequences, of course focuses on Xena and Gabrielle's evolving relationship. Producer and series co-creator Rob Tapert directs, giving the show some eye-popping moments and a quick homage to his Evil Dead movies. The weighty finality of the show means that it's missing some of the series' trademark sense of humor, but some fun still sneaks in around the edges. Lawless and O'Connor give excellent performances, and Joseph LoDuca's music, as it should, sends us off. Whether or not you agree with the way the series ends, you'll want to own this one. --Ali Davis

This is a pretty kewl DVD for what it is. I bought it knowing that there was a 3-D adventure on there, and it's good for what it is. However, I also thought that the actual episode "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was also on it. The Actual episode is *NOT* on there as well. It is just the 3-D adventure. The animation of it is adequte and very reminiscent of the Xena game for Playstation if you've seen that. The computer animation isn't as good as the new Johnny Quest series on Cartoon Network . The voices are not the same as the episode (i.e. Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, Bacchus, Orpheus) - they are not voiced by Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor, and Ted Raimi. However, the actors try to do as best as they can to at least imitate the spirit of the characters, though Gabrielle is sometimes played a little too young and melodramatic, but that's also some of the writing. Zeus and Hera narrating the story are hilarious. Hera is very reminiscent of Xena's disguise of "Ezra" in the 3rd season episode, "Vanishing Act." Nothing like Meg Foster as Hera in "God Fearing Child," but very funny in a Fran Drescher sort of way. Also, you can not fast forward this or skip to chapters or anything. If you want to try another choice, you have to start all the way at the beginning. Still, it's nice to see scenes that could have been in the episode and some great lines, like Bacchus referring to Joxer as the "stupid funny man," or all the times Xena and Gabrielle get to tell Joxer to shut up. Joxer fans, don't fear, he has some good lines of his own. The possibility of different endings is nice, and it definitely will require multiple viewings before you can experience all of the different choices. Also, ignore the picture of Xena and Callisto on the cover. Callisto is not in this - at least, I haven't found her in it. However, for a big Xena fan like me, it's pretty kewl to have, especially to impress fellow Xena fan friends.

Yes, this package is pricey but I read on tvshowsondvd com that on Nov. 6, 2007 the studio is releasing the Complete Collector's Edition. A whopping 61 disks (but no briefcase) - All 9 seasons and the movie and gobs of extras. The number of disks per season matches the original releases and NOT the slim sets. MSRP is $329.98 (that's $5.41 per disk), so Amazon's price will probably be under $300.00 should they decide to offer it.
So, if you want to pay an additional $220.00 for the "cool" briefcase, get this one. If not, wait 'til November.

This Amazon-exclusive bundle contains all 9 seasons in the original, collectible boxed set format. This is untrue. This briefcase edition does not contain the thick first release box sets. What it does contain is a booklet with vinyl pages that hold all the discs. Amazon`s listing pictures the boxed sets which is very misleading. If you want the first released thick boxed sets don`t buy this item. Also this item is not exclusively available through Amazon. It has been released outside of the U.S. and contains foreign language not English on the packaging. I hope this posting prevents other buyers from such frustration of receiving something different than what is described.
