Love it! Would be perfect with the orignal soundtrack!! Miss the Rolling Stones and Paint It Black!!! But if you enjoyed Tour of Duty on TV bought it anyway. I have all three seasons!

Tour of Duty Season 1 5 out of 5 stars.

I loved this show when it was on TV and now I am thrilled to relive those episodes again. I hate when the show was pulled...I guess a little too realistic for some. Great acting and realistic scenarios. A+!

Love hate opinion of this DVD set 4 out of 5 stars.

I love the show Tour of Duty, I think it is much better than Band of Brothers (personal opinion). The show was well made, before computer effects so you might be surprised at all the real helicopters and explosions. The characters were good (though the actors took a few episodes to really find their characters).
The stories were remarkably interesting and original given the setting. And though this must have been the most well-behaved platoon in the war, the topics of war crimes and the like is not completely glossed over.

The bad - the box is nice but this set is overpriced. There are no special features at all. The music has been mentioned by others and having (almost) all of the original music removed does change the feel of the show - instead of 60s music from the time of the war the show has a lot of 80s style music that sounds like it was made on a synthesiser in someone's room. It gets really bad when there are references made by characters to music that isn't actually playing. Then again I remember the roiginal, so I can't say how a new viewer would be affected by the current soundtrack.

The BEST show!!! Gotta get it on DVD! 5 out of 5 stars.

This show has been the favorite at our house. Thanks to a favorite celebrity being in season 7 and giving us the scoop on this series. We did mini marathons for each season. It's so much better a comedy than anything I've seen. We don't get any Canadian TV where I am. Thank heavens for DVD's!
I own a pair of Ricky pants!! ha! who knew!

Trailer Parks Boys #1 5 out of 5 stars.

This is the Best show I have seen in years. Unfortunately it is only on in Canada. A definite buy!!!

Rediculously overpriced at $53.99 2 out of 5 stars.

Strangely overpriced - As of this posting it is more than double the price that Amazon.ca is charging Canadians: $19.99 CDN (and, as of this posting, CDN and USD are at parity). Considering just how unlikely it is that these products are, in any way, different, this seems more than a little absurd. Also note that Canada and the US share a DVD region code, making imports from Canada playable on any American DVD player.

Editorial Review:

Trailer Park Boys is about life between prison terms. Always trying to play the angles, always done-in by forces beyond their control, and always in the middle of a gunfight, Ricky and Julian are decent, hard- working guys trying to cope with the New Wor

omigod this is awful 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 8 people found this review helpful.

Barely know what to say here. I saw one reviewer state that Six of Nine was the worst thing about this show. I think its worse than that. I think she's the best thing about TTR, and I'm not going beyond her visual appeal here, because there is none. The writing is horrible, its not the least bit funny, and although the animation is quite good,...its just terrible. I can't imagine that even 13 year olds would go for it. Maybe stupid 13 year olds. I gave it one star because I couldn't submit my review otherwise, but I don't really mean it.

If you don't have a sense of humor, try something else 5 out of 5 stars.

I've read some of the other reviews of Tripping The Rift. The negative reviewers obviously don't have a sense of humor and therefore have no business reviewing Tripping The Rift. Having an open mind to all possibilities helps to appreciate this parody of the science fiction genre.
Since computer animation first started with Toy Story, I was hoping someone would come up with something like this, and even though some of the jokes make me roll my eyes, I think this is the best anyone could have come up with for this format...and I find myself laughing more than I expect (truly the gift of an open mind). I love the references to all of the science fiction TV and movies that have been embraced through the years. I was kinda scratching my head while watching "Tripping The Rift-The Movie", wondering just exactly what Desperate Housewives had to do with the science fiction genre...but other than that, I think that the creators and writers have done an excellent job in giving us a genuine and entertaining source of mindless and enjoyable escapism.
If I want to sit back and relax, and just forget about reality, this is one of the places I like to go.
My favorite character has to be Bobo the Clown with his no-holds-barred insanity. You never know what's gonna come from him, and whatever he does is just total crazed hilarity.
Wanna escape? Wanna have a few silly laughs? Gotta open mind and a TRUE sense of humor? Sit back, relax and let yourself go where no computer animated series has gone before.....and enjoy!!!!!....just make sure the kids are in bed for the night first, because this is definitely NOT for them!

Excellent 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Twilight Zone was one of those programs that people talked about fpr days at the office. It was a show I never missed, and now I can see them all again. I was afraid they wouldn't hold up well, that my recollection of them was about to be destroyed. But, no.

Art Carney is excellent as a besotted and disillusioned Santa. The theme is a little preachy and the snow looks more like soap flakes than winter precipitation. This is probably the least of the 3 episodes on the disk, but it's still pretty good. Art Carney's performance alone is worthwhile.

Agnes Moorhead is the only real character in the second episode, a lonely woman in a remote farmhouse. A spaceship crashes into her attic and she has to fight the tiny aliens with the primitive weapons at hand. The spacemen shoot her and raise blisters on her skin. She doesn't have a single word of dialogue, just moans and grunts, and it doesn't matter. This is a real classic, one that never left my mind in almost fifty years.

In the third episode, a boyish Robert Redford plays a wounded cop who falls at the doorway of a condemned building. The only occupant is an old woman who is afraid of letting Death in and suspects the wounded cop of being Death. The story is not one of the best of the series, but it is better than some.

TV never got better than Rod Serling's Twilight Zone. What more can one say?

Editorial Review:

Episodes: "Night of the Meek" (Ep. 47, December 23, 1960) - Christmas in the Twilight Zone. Art Carney is a forlorn department store Santa who takes to drinking--only to find himself experiencing the nicest Christmas ever! "The Invaders" (Ep. 51, January 27, 1961) - A flying saucer lands in the attic of an isolated house inhabited by an impoverished woman--who soon becomes panic-stricken as tiny spacemen begin to stalk her! "Nothing in the Dark" (Ep. 81, January 5, 1962) - An old woman has fought with death a thousand times and has always won. But now she finds herself afraid to let a wounded policeman (Robert Redford) in her door for fear he is Mr. Death. Is he?

Excellent series!! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Three's Company, in my opinion, is one of the all time greatest comedies to ever hit television. I watched this series as a young child when it was on tv and used to naively laugh, especially with the physical comedy of John Ritter. As an adult of almost 40, I still laugh outloud. This is actually a really good comedy for just about the whole family because, although there are various innuendos, most young kids won't understand them. It's ashame that there aren't more comedies like this on tv now. I'd recommend this series to anyone.

Three's Company - Season Four 5 out of 5 stars.

My 38 year old son thinks it is hilarious; I think it is juvenile sexual innuendo and thats the best I personally can say for it

Another Great Season For Three's Company, 4 out of 5 stars.

This season we get Introduced to one of my favorite characters of the show Ralph Furley. Played by comedy great Don Knotts. I think the Ropers were good, but Mr. Furley was better. We also get to meet sexy divorcee Lana Shields, whom also was a welcome addition to the cast.

The only thing better than TPB is More TPB! I'm anxiously awaiting Season 6--the final season--and the DVD of the film.

See it to understand 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I had heard a lot about this series from my sister. Skeptical, I gave season 1 a shot and found it funny enough to keep going. I'm glad I did. Once I had grown to understand the characters better (about mid-way through season 2), I was hooked. Each season has its best moments, but all of them are based in character and situation -- the perfect blend of comedy. This is not a show for everyone, but if you laugh at shows like The Office or Curb Your Enthusiasm, then you will not be sorry for devoting yourself to the adventures of Julian, Ricky, and one of the best characters ever created: Bubbles.

Funnyiest show on planet 5 out of 5 stars.

Season four is the best but this show to me is hillarious and the extras on the DVDs are funny as hell. Buy every season and the movie!

Paramount: Where are seasons 4 and 5? 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Dear Paramount,

how do you expect people to purchase Taxi DVDs when they can't be sure of ever completing their collections? It's going on 4 years now since seasons 1-3 have been released in 2005. What happened to seasons 4 and 5? Did you kill the project?

Taxi is a great show, I remember enjoying it as a kid and still love it today. Please, think of the fans. Don't leave us with an incomplete show!

Taxi Seasons 4 and 5, Please 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Fans of Taxi have waited too long for Taxi Seasons 4 and 5 to be released on DVD. I wish Paramount would Release Taxi The 4th Season (1981-1982), and Taxi The 5th & Final Season (1982-1983) in 2009. Three years with no season release for Taxi is enough in a lifetime, and should be looked into. Please put Taxi back on DVD Schedule, CBS/Paramount! Fans of Taxi will be happy if CBS/Paramount released the final 2 seasons in 2009 after such endless waiting.

Editorial Review:

Set in New York City, TAXI follows a group of cab drivers of the Sunshine Cab Company through the daily but far from ordinary routine as cabbies. The sitcom features a multitude of extroverted persons such as a frustrated actor, strained boxer, ex-hippie and cynical dispatcher.

That Girl was my favorite show as a child. I love the way every episode begins by someone pointing at Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas) and shouting out "That Girl." I always anticipate while watching and try to guess who will say it and when. It is such a cute, clean, funny show that our whole family enjoys. If you've never seen it, start with Season One. I'm sure you'll get hooked. I only wish this show had run a lot longer. It's one of a kind.

Editorial Review:

Before The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Murphy Brown and Ally McBeal, there was That Girl. Nominated for an Emmy® Award for these episodes, Marlo Thomas gives Ann Marie some of her most memorable moments in Season 4 of That Girl. From the banana spy camera she wields in the 2-part season opener, Mission Improbable through her unforgettable donning of a chicken suit in Nobody Here But Us Chickens she demonstrates her undeniable talent for physical comedy. Faithfully along for Ann's wild ride are her boyfriend Donald (Ted Bessell) and her parents(Lew Parker and Rosemary DeCamp).

WORTH THE MONEY
I LOVE THIS DVD, BRINGS BACK LAUGHTER AND MEMORYS AND YOU NEVER GET BORED WITH IT,

Another great season... 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Season 6 marked the debut of Priscilla Barnes as new roommate Terri Alden, a nurse at the local hospital. While Cindy moved out, on the pretext of attending classes at UCLA and living in the dorms, Jennilee Harrison frequently stops by the apartment and maintains contact with the gang.

Plotwise, there's much of the familiar old hilarity, stemming from issues and themes such as Mr. Furley's self-proclaimed machoism, Jack's love for the ladies, and misunderstandings between the roomies.

Jack's job as a chef also allows for owner Mr. Angellino and envious "salad boy" Felipe to make a number of repeat appearances.

Some memorable episodes include "Maid to Order," where the klutzy Cindy attempts to work as the trio's housekeeper, and another features a visit from Jack's grandfather, who is under the delusion that Jack is a doctor. Still another involves a robbery at Janet's flower shop while Jack is a visitor.

It's also funny to look back, thirty years later, at some of the pop culture that is don't-blink-an-eye common now, but a novelty in the late '70s. For example, much confusion (of course!) ensues from a mix-up when the gang sets up their first answering machine, as it does when Jack and Janet are pursuaded to try a computer dating service.

Despite its being the sixth season, this show is still consistently funny. You won't regret picking up a copy!

Editorial Review:

This is the season that fans have been waiting for! Join Jack Tripper (Emmy®-winner John Ritter), Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt), Cindy Snow (Jenilee Harrison) and permanent new roommate Terri Alden (Priscilla Barnes) for 28 unforgettable episodes of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, bumbling romance and much more. Richard Kline (as smooth pal Larry Dallas) and Don Knotts (as swinging landlord Ralph Furley) co-star in this top-rated year that pushed the limits of physical comedy and sexy hilarity like never before and marked a bold new beginning for one of the most beloved sitcoms in television histor
