If you were a fan of the show when it was on TV, you diffinitly need to get this series. One of my favorite episodes was... "The Tick VS. Justice".

Another great The Tick triumph. Just like the cartoon was a bit different from the comic book line, the live action show was a bit different from the cartoon. It's still great. And honestly, is there anything that Patrick Warburton can't make funny?

I won't take up much space explaining how funny and clever this show was. I simply wish to express how sad I am that a show of this caliber was so quickly axed and how poorly our television stations represent our needs as a viewing public. File this one next to Arrested Development and other great shows that were killed by mindless TV execs. Please, Barry Sonnenfeld, bring this show back!

Starring Patrick Warburton as you-know-who, and written for his magnificent dead-pan characterizations, this off-beat comedy was just too expensive to produce long enough to see if it would be a hit.

Beware... "The TICK" is off-beat. So if you are strictly the "I Love Lucy" type, this comedy is not for you.

Three's Company, in my opinion, is one of the all time greatest comedies to ever hit television. I watched this series as a young child when it was on tv and used to naively laugh, especially with the physical comedy of John Ritter. As an adult of almost 40, I still laugh out loud. This is actually a really good comedy for just about the whole family because, although there are various innuendos, most young kids won't understand them. It's ashame that there aren't more comedies like this on tv now. I'd recommend this series to anyone.

I bought this DVD set the day it came out. Love it in every way imaginable. The last GREAT season of this show, in my opinion! I watch it all the time. Jackie and Hyde's relationship is one of my favorite things about the series and this is where it really begins and it's just fantastic to watch. The humor is brilliant from every character, throughout the entire season, and Fez finally gets laid!! Haha. I totally recommend.

Reunited and it feels so good. 5 out of 5 stars.

That '70s Show - Season Five saw a lot of changes but with great results. Donna and Eric got back together and Hyde and Jackie started dating (who would have thought they could be so cute as a couple!) and Kitty went through the change, menopause that is. I really enjoyed this season, wish I had Laura Prepon's gorgeous red hair. Jessica Simpson guests stars in a few episodes and Kelso's California fling, Annette. I highly recommend season five, happy viewing!

My wife now has the whole collection. Each time her birthday comes round,or Christmas or whatever,I would buy her the next set in the collection as part of her present. Now that she has them all I will have to think of something else.
Personally,I like the original Man About The House series that 3's was based upon. But that's probably because I am English and it's what I grew up with. My wife,who is American,dies laughing at this series whenever she watches it. So it makes her happy,and that's the main thing.

Bought it for my 38 yr old son; he thinks it is hilarious and probably most people would if they can accept a bit too much stupidity of the characters, ie: false innocense in a show blatently using sex for viewers who like mild sexual innuendo

The Tick is one of my favorite animated television programs. A wonderful and hilarious send-up of the superhero genre, with plenty of both incisive satire and outright silliness. Ben Edlund's comic should be required reading for all superhero comic fans everywhere; and the animated series captures it perfectly. When the DVD was first announced, I was ecstatic.

Then Walt Disney/Buena Vista went and screwed it up. Badly. For starts, as many others have noted, there are missing episodes. Like Season One, this set is also missing an episode. However, unlike the first missing episode, generally regarded as one of the weakest; this one is one of the best espisodes of the series. But enough has been said on this subject by others. There are numerous other weaknesses with this release; which make it seriously disappointing, and rather overpriced.

The biggest is simply the incredibly poor quality of the transfer. Having purchased numerous other DVD releases of old animated programs, I'm astounded at just how bad this transfer is. Even on an ordinary analog television, the low resolution and high level of compression artifacts is painfully obvious. It almost looks like they created the DVD, not from the original sources, but from some of the pre-DVD videos that have been floating around the Internet for years. The sound transfer isn't much better, and is rendered flat and lifeless, although without obvious artifacts.

There are no extras to speak of, and it appears that they instead used all the space saved by the low-bitrate transfer to cram in a lot of extra advertisements that are extremely annoying to have to forward past to get to the show.

If it wasn't for the fact that this is likely to be the only offering of The Tick on DVD, and if The Tick wasn't as great a show as it is, I'd say don't bother with it.

It took me some time to catch on to this and when I first tried to watch it, thought to myself, "how lame", but then I gave the boys another chance.....I'm 45 years old, sat together with my 25 year old daughter who was already hooked on, watched a couple of episodes on HBO and alas...I was hooked. I am now living in the Middle East and bought the first two series before coming back out....on Friday nights I can sit here and watch the same episodes repeatedly, laughing harder and harder each time! Absolutely hilarious stuff....I only need to look at Bubbles and start laughing...and him on that go-cart...omg! too funny! love all the characters, Ricky going into that house and being attacked by "a killer kitten" Ha! Priceless......I hope the humor never ends...will definately be buying the latest season!

The Trailer Park boys have become major celebrities for a vast majority of Canadians. Their focus on comedy within a certain spectrum of social behaviour is absolutly hilarious! It is so well done that persons that resemble these characters whether it be their housing or personal, can associate and giggle at these boys' various antics! Even persons who don't consider themselves "trailer park" people, find something that can be identified with and giggle!

Bubbles has stealed the show with his well-scripted lines and knee-slapping ideas and well of course, let's not forget about Julien the "PIN UP BOY FOR THE PARK!"

Ricky and his continuous explosive behaviour, reminds all those that watch about that "street bully" that never seemed to have his head on straight!

Add the rest of the cast for flavour and you've got a full fledged hit on your hands.

Before they become too big, get out and buy them and be like the rest of us to experience their magic through humour and realism!

I had heard a lot about this series from my sister. Skeptical, I gave season 1 a shot and found it funny enough to keep going. I'm glad I did. Once I had grown to understand the characters better (about mid-way through season 2), I was hooked. Each season has its best moments, but all of them are based in character and situation -- the perfect blend of comedy. This is not a show for everyone, but if you laugh at shows like The Office or Curb Your Enthusiasm, then you will not be sorry for devoting yourself to the adventures of Julian, Ricky, and one of the best characters ever created: Bubbles.

Season 4 has Ricky acting as the trailer park supervisor for a time. Of course, things fall apart. But it's always fun to see how! Bubbles as The Green Bastard, drunk Bubbles singing about kitties, Ricky electrocuting himself, and Randy's gut -- there are so many moments it's unbelievable.

If you're a fan of the show then you must have this dvd set. The transfer quality is excellent. I have one suggestion though...for some reason they put the Christmas special at the end of the dvd set and it really should be watched after the first dvd so it is in sequence with the series.

My mom has been watching her personally recorded VHS casettes of this show for 20 years. She said that it is amazing the stuff that she missed. First of all, when the episodes aired in America, evidentally they cut off the very beginning and/or end (teasers, if you will) of the show. By the time you combine all of the new footage, it's like a whole new episode. Then there is the famed grandfather clock. She assumed that it was an English antique. WIth the clarity of DVD she was actually able to see for the first time that it is a beautifully intricate Chinese Clock. And don't forget the anniversary show is in this pack, as well. FANTASTIC! If you ever watched this show, this is the gift for you! Don't miss the interviews. Very fun, and interesting.

I was also disappointed that this dvd ommitted an episode. Last year I had purchased a Helios up converter dvd player that plays all regions. (or should I say it is a region free player?)
I'm happy to say that the UK version of this title has ALL 13 episodes!!!
There are no extras, the set is quite plain, but at least I have them all on disc. I've already pre-ordered season 2, which ALSO has ALL 13 episodes from that season. It seems there are quite a few UK released movies that have 2 disc sets, more features, extras, etc. Even alternate endings that we DON'T get in the States! I still buy US versions in most cases, but Amazon UK is worth checking out.

When I saw that the second season of tripping the rift was out on dvd I just had to get it. It is a very funny show with its adult humor and everything. If you like Family Guy, South Park, or Futurama you will like tripping the rift.
