Not the Best (Contains Spoilers) 4 out of 5 stars.

Season eight of That '70s Show is the last season for this wonderful series. With Eric and Kelso gone (Kelso stays until the fourth or fifth episode, then moves to Chicago to help raise his daughter Betsy), there is a gap in the characters. This problem is fixed pretty quickly, with Randy and Samantha being featured in the show for quite a bit of this season. The idea of Randy in my opinion was not a great one, it seems as if the writers tried to make us miss Eric and Kelso less by giving Randy some of the qualities that they had. Season eight starts and ends well, but to me the middle 11 or 12 episodes are not as great as the episodes from previous seasons. I would not say that season eight is the best season, but I also would not call it the worst season of That '70s Show. To me Randy was not really a necessary character, I think they should have written him out of the storylines earlier and had Eric come back an episode or two prior to his series finale return. In addition, Randy seemed to lack humor when saying lines that the writers of the scripts thought were funny. The other characters seem as funny as ever, I really think Randy is the only character who seems to lack any sort of humorous side. Aside from the missing characters, new relationships occur. Donna and Randy get together, as well as Fez and Jackie towards the end of the series. In addition, we find out that Hyde has married a stripper (Samantha), which is not one of this season's best plotlines. Some characters have changed a lot over the eight seasons the show ran, but some characters like Red and Kitty really did not change too much and remained the same for the most part. Is season eight worth buying? Yes, even if the only reason you buy it is to see what happened to some of your favorite characters. Some episodes are up to the standards of the earlier seasons, others aren't. Its up to you to decide what you think of this final season of That '70s Show, and how it compares to the seven previous seasons.

This is divisve? 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

These reviews are not divisive at all. Pretty much everyone who rated it gave it 4 or 5 stars. I think Tim and Eric fall into the category not of "love it or hate it" , but "gets it or doesn't get it". I see there is a wide range in the ages of the reviewers. I'm 39 and my 10 year old son thinks its the best show on right now. My 12 year old thinks its idiotic.

You have to be able to appreciate offbeat humor and obscure(make that VERY obscure) references to laugh at this. My only gripe with the show is occasionally there will be what appears to be an inside joke thrown in. Not really fair to the rest of us, but, oh well.

I am happier for having finally purchased and begun to purchase this series of video's, this way I can watch them over and over uninterrupted. I love and enjoy clean entertainment and on a subject to which I resonate with, I love Angels, I believe in Angels, and yes, I talk to them all the time, 'We are never alone'. This show is inspirational and gives me hope then when it was on, and now and always will. Always have faith, believe in who you are, and be truthful.

Highly recommended! 5 out of 5 stars.

This is one of the best t.v. series ever made. It's one that you can sit down and watch with children, too, which is always a big plus to me! Highly recommended!

"It didn't set out to change the world. It just made us laugh and that is why we love it." ~Lucille Ball, 1982

"Come And Knock On Our Door…"

In the spring of 1977,ABC network executives gave a six-episode "trial" run to a new sitcom called THREE’S COMPANY. Almost overnight, it became one of the biggest hits of the entire season. Racy and daring for its time, this breakthrough bedroom farce skyrocketed to the Top 10 in its second week. Almost twenty-five years later, it remains one of the best-loved TV series of all time. Based on the provocative Brit-com MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE, THREE’S COMPANY follows the innuendo-laden but platonic misadventures and misunderstandings of clumsy and girlcrazy Jack Tripper (John Ritter in the role that won him an Emmy®, a Golden Globe and the hearts of millions) and his two female roommates, pretty and practicalminded Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt) and naïve and dim-bulb blonde Chrissy Snow (Suzanne Somers). Along with their sexually frustrated landlords the Ropers (Norman Fell and Audra Lindley) and Jack’s fast-talking pal Larry (Richard Kline), these three outrageous roommates tripped and jiggled through a world of slapstick pratfalls and some of the most scandalously titillating comedy America had ever seen. THREE’S COMPANY – SEASON ONE features the original six episodes – including the classic pilot – that started it all, now collected on DVD for the first time ever!

Not even one star 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 14 people found this review helpful.

Terrible. Dialogue was constantly mumbled. The plot made no sense, and characters that were introduced were just forgotten about.
If you like this movie, you have no taste, and little self-respect.
If you complain, "Hey, it's just one of those movies to trip out on."
Then you haven't seen Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Unnecessarily Graphic and Crude 1 out of 5 stars.
1 of 6 people found this review helpful.

Call me a prude if you like. But the explicit graphics of the sex scenes could have been more subtly done without sacrificing the plot. And Bobby's profuse use of the f word was unnecessary. As one who followed the original series devotedly, and watched the entire series with rapt attention in the Gold DVD Box edition, I must say this turned me off.

I understand and appreciate the effort to fill us in on the murder motive through this prequel. I think as a Twin Peaks fan, I would have appreciated a sequel too, one which resolves the tension of "hero become villain" in the very last scene of Season 2, as well as the problem of Leo Johnson left with tarantulas hanging overhead courtesy of Windom Earle. The reference in "Fire Walk With Me" to "The good Cooper is in the lodge and can't get out" suggests that there might have been a solution coming??? But as it is we are left hanging, just like Leo.

A mockumentary whose time was long overdue 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

I haven't been this happy to watch a comedy series, or anything for that matter, in I don't know how long!

Ricky, one half of the main character force, is powerfully ignorant; forcefully ignorant. Everything he causes to go wrong becomes somebody else's fault through his warped rationalization. He's uselessly wise about his own stupidity. It's a thing of beauty to behold! He's constantly setting up people with Knock Knock jokes that don't actually follow the Knock Knock rhythm just so he can tell people to f*** off. Each time he does this, I laugh harder than the last time! Rob Wells plays this character to the hilt and is the true comedic genius driving this entire show, in my opinion.

Julian is the straight man/tough guy/brains of the outfit. He comes off as seeming more intelligent but it's only because he has more poise. He's almost as stupid as Ricky. It does not matter what is going on, to include action scenes, Julian is NEVER without his rum and Coke, ice tinkling in the glass. It kills me!

Something is clearly dysfunctional about Bubbles in a fundemental fashion, and yet he is the most intelligent citizen in the park. He passionately curses non-stop in a way as natural to him as taking the next breath. His blisteringly foul language often pops up in the most benign of situations causing the funny quotient to leap upwards.

There's a guy who never wears a shirt, wears too tight white pants, has a huge belly, and there's no explanation given, ever, for why he's like this.

The "Bottle Kids" randomly appear to smash bottles on people's windshields or homes, while the people are there, and this is an accepted part of life in the park. These brief, yet intense little violences hit when you least expect them. I'm telling you. it's funny!

Ricky's six year old daughter rolls her own smokes.

As you might guess, I could really carry on about this show. It's spectacular! Comedy's audience is sometimes elusive but if you're a fan of stereotype driven absurdity then don't hesitate to watch this series.

Rare Intelligence on Television 5 out of 5 stars.
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.

I wish, sometimes, that the general populace of this United States were not so screwed up when it comes to sex. However, this is not the case and as a result of this slack-jawed, priggish mindset, the rest of us are robbed of one of the most intelligent, insightful programs this viewer has seen in some time.

Cynthia Mort has depicted a laser focused and thoughtful portrayal of intimacy in "Tell Me You Love Me". She has stripped the inner workings of an intimate, sexual relationship bare with four couples in different stages of their lives. The effect is at once disturbing, hilarious, frightful, and hopeful as these adjectives are really the bones of any relationship. This is a series every person involved in an intimate, sexual relationship should watch more than once.

The cast is brilliant, if not to mention, courageous. Michelle Borth (who knew she was more than just a femme du jour?) and Luke Kirby portray the "new loves" preparing for their wedding day. Sonya Walger (Mort shows her genius in recognizing this woman's talent) and Adam Scott play a childless couple struggling for a baby. Ally Walker, of "Profiler" fame (too long away from the view of the masses) and Tim DeKay of "Carnivale" are the married-for-years-with-kids scenario. Jane Alexander (formidable!) and David Selby (a far cry from "Dark Shadows'" Quentin Collins) play and older, mature couple. All of these actors bring precise candor to their portrayals provoking intense reactions from the watcher.

As you find yourself muttering under your breath, "You bitch!" or "You bastard!" you ultimately realize that you would be the ultimate hypocrite to even attempt to choose sides.

And, yes, they all have sex. It would be silly to present a discourse on intimacy in sexual relationships without the act of sex. So, get over it and watch this show!

Editorial Review:

Sex. Life. This is the story of three couples trying to stay afloat - and one woman's efforts to show them how to do it. HBO's newest adult drama series explores issues of intimacy - through the point of view of a 20-something couple, prenumpital concerns and fidelity are examined, while the series' 30-something couple confront their failed attempts to start a family, coping with the effects it has on their sex life. And after two kids and 12 years of marriage, a couple in their early 40s question why their love and devotion hasn't translated into physical intimacy in nearly a year. Tell Me You Love Me explores the telling, everyday moments that can make or break a couple's commitment to one another, both emotionally and physically.

THIRD WATCH WAS A FIVE STAR SERIES 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The entire idea of mixing lives of Firefighters, Police and Rescue Squad characters in New York City was genius by the writers of this show.
The scripts are as well written as any of todays CSI shows and the acting and emotions shown by each actor is wonderful. I simply can't see why the series was taken off television unless scenes became too difficult to film. This purchase of Season one is completely worth the price.

a good choice 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Season 3 or season 4 are my choices if you want to get only one or two in the series. By this point, the cast has learned the nuances of each other's chemistry, on and off stage, and it shows in how they relate more naturally to one another -- just as you would expect from a group of friends and their parents. Also, the series is still young and the plots have yet to grow predictable and the acting has yet to show signs of tedium.

As to lesser points to the season 3 line-up, the Halloween episode and "Hyde's Father" don't hold up well under repeated viewing, IMHO. Otherwise, the season is a hit and is endearing as well as entertaining.

Editorial Review:

Get on down to the basement for a rockin' flashback to the swinging '70s.

As the partying begins, Red decides he's been too lenient, so he sets up a few new house rules. This not only makes the kids miserable, but makes Kitty feel like she's been a bad mother. Hyde feels even worse after he finds his long-lost father tending bar at a local dive. Meanwhile, as Donna and Eric continue dating, Jackie begins pursuing Hyde, which upsets Kelso even though he's dating Laurie. And Fez finally gets a girlfriendÂ?only to discover (too late) that she's certifiably psycho!
