This product is fantastic!!! My grandsons love Elmo and they sing and dance with Elmo and his friends through the entire dvd; especially the 2 year old. I only wish that the length of the show was longer than 30 minutes. They should come out with The Best of Elmo 2.

Elmo is awesome! 5 out of 5 stars.

Very cute! One of my 22 month old son's favorites. We have seen many of the Sesame Street DVDs (including Elmo's World). With the real background, catchy songs and the cute story line this one keeps us coming back.

Great for the kids 5 out of 5 stars.

Short And Sweet 5 out of 5 stars.

Kids just love Elmo, no matter how much adults may not feel the same way, though I do admit I am somewhat entertained by him. But my son (2-1`/2) absolutely loves him, so that is what really matters. I try to limit television/video time and a one or two 1/2 hour breaks during the day and this is a good DVD for those times - you usually cannot go wrong with CTW.

The Shield season VI 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Season VI is every bit the action, excitement, drama......as seasons I-V. We watched it until 4am without realizing how much time had passed (we are normally early birds!!) We do not have the patience for the week to week suspense and enjoy watching the whole season, commercial free. Anticipating season VII on DVD.....unfortunately this will be the final season :-(

As good as ever 4 out of 5 stars.

I have watched most of season 6 and find it just as entertaining as the other 5 seasons. I recommend it.

Editorial Review:

Continuing directly after season 5, Vic and the Strike Team are distraught over Lem's death. Shane has been overcome by guilt and becomes reckless and suicidal. Vic learns from Claudette that the Chief plans to force him into early retirement — and vows to wreak bloody vengeance on Lem's killer before losing his badge. Claudette learns that the Barn could be shut down if no improvements are made by the time quarterly crime statistics are released.

Son Loves This, All Year Long! 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 4 people found this review helpful.

We have had this on the DVR since December of 2007. Our son (who is now two) loves this special. It's strange watching it in the summer but we do. Can't wait for it to be released, partly so we can delete it from the DVR!

Elmo Christmas Countdown-- A favorite for any Elmo fan! 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

My son is almost 2 years old and a huge Elmo fan. We purchased this DVD under a week ago and he's already watched it 6 times! He's requesting it all the time ! The scenes with Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx are memorable and my husband and I find ourselves singing the songs long after the DVD is over. A must for any Elmo fan. I can see this as a pre-Christmas ritual from now on.

So happy to see this on DVD! 5 out of 5 stars.

Like the other reviewer, we have had this on DVR since December of last year...our almost 2 year old has loved this since the first time she saw it.

Now we don't have to worry about the DVR crashing anymore, or fast forwarding through the commercials. Yipee!

Back On Track 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

In the previous season, Smallville lacked the emotional dramatic punch that had created such enjoyable characters. Also, with the characters graduating at the end of the season, it was clear that the show was in for a major change of pace. While this fifth season did not always hit the jackpot in that area, it by and large was extremely successful in moving the show in a new direction.

As the season progressed, the focus perceptively shifted from the Clark/Lana/Chloe relationship triangle to the "comic book geek" aspect of the Superman mythology. Let's first look at what failed during this season, then examine the many things that went right:

The most noticeable failure of Season Five was the episode "Thirst" (where Lana joins a college sorority and becomes a vampire), widely regarded as the worst episode in the show's history. Also, a conscious effort to raise the gratuitous sex appeal in the show is seen, what with Lois Lane's "patriotic" striptease in "Exposed" and the episode entitled "Hypnotic", which focuses on Clark's sexual relationship with a meteor freak. Though I understand that "sex sells" (especially to Smallville's teenage audience), those types of relationships also serve to undermine the engaging relationships of Smallville's past.

Besides the single clinker and amped-up sex appeal, this season had a wide variety of bright spots:

-Clark and Lana are finally able to have a normal relationship at the beginning of the season (sadly, it would be the last time that relationship carried with it any emotional punch).
-Two more characters (one "mechanical" and one "amphibious") are introduced who are vital to Clark's future.
-Lex is shown what his life could be like if he chooses to soften his heart.
-The Senate race between Jonathan Kent and Lex Luthor heats up, culminating in the show's 100th episode, "Reckoning", which will bring a tear to even the most cynical of viewers.
-The introduction of a Lex/Lana relationship, which contains many intriguing facets.
-Finally, the introduction of Professor Fine, a heralded villain from the Superman cannon who unleashes the most terrible evil in Kryptonian history.

Overall, Smallville's fifth season was an action-packed ride from beginning to end. Though sacrificing many of the show's core characters/relationships in favor of sex appeal, the show was able to successful morph itself from teen-drama to science fiction (for better or worse, depending on who you are). The final scene will have you screaming at your TV for resolution!

Editorial Review:

An astonishing season of destiny! Clark Kent now carries a full load of classes at Central Kansas U., but that's not all he carries. He carries the full weight of his - perhaps the world's - destiny. "We call this season Superman in Training," series co-creator Alfred Gough says. "Clark is going to accept his destiny." During this exciting pivotal season: The Fortress of Solitude rises. A spaceship mystery unfolds. A dark tragedy - one even Clark's powers can't prevent - strikes. These and more key elements of Superman lore fall into place.

Soprano's Season Six, Part One DVD 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

The one missing piece to my entire collection. In stock, delivered quickly. Great service and availability, as always!

The Beginning of the End 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Season 6 Part One of the Sopranos begins to set the scene for the series finale. At least that's how I viewed it. We got to see some older storylines that hadn't been brought up in years (Christopher's quest to make a screen play) come out of the shadows. We also begin to see characters growing up and changing due to recent events, like AJ handeling his fathers coma. We see the tensions with NY start coming to a head, a showdown, which is where it's been headed all along.

I thought Season 6 was a strong season. Not my favorite, as I still felt the Chris storyline weak. I didn't mind the Vito, it was sort of funny and unexpected, but yes maybe it didn't have to go on for so long. And I admit that AJ gets on my nerves more and more. But I found the relationship between NY & NJ fascenating, I couldn't look away. The tension is building and building with each episode until you are just dying to know how it ends!!

While it's sad to see this series coming to an end, it's good to see it building into an exciting finish.

Editorial Review:

Several crises threaten Tony and his crew; for starters, rival boss Johnny Sack (Vince Curatola) is in prison, and the always-tense relations between the New Jersey and New York families are strained through the unpredictable behavior of Sack?s surrogates. Then there are the inevitable power struggles that ensue when certain family members are eliminated, by natural and other causes.

NO Closed Captioning 4 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

First, let me say that I'm an avid Sopranos fan. I put the first-season DVD on my Amazon wish list and was thrilled when I was given it as a gift. I have a hearing problem and always use closed captioning while watching TV and videos. I have been disappointed to find that some DVDs that list CC don't actually have it. Unfortunately, The Sopranos: First Season is one of them. Yes, I do know how to use the DVD menu to select closed-captioning, but the only options listed are for quality of sound or the languages Spanish or French. Since my TV is always set for CC, that shouldn't be the problem. Consequently, I have to turn up the volume considerably, but still miss some of the dialogue.

Editorial Review:

At last, the complete first season!

Spin City is a smart, sophisticated ABC sitcom about the behind-the-scenes workings of City Hall in the biggest city in America. Workaholic Mike Flaherty (Michael J. Fox) is the Deputy Mayor of New York City, serving as Mayor Randall Winston s (Barry Bostwick, Rocky Horror Picture Show) key strategist and much-needed handler. Mike runs the city with the help of his oddball staff: an anxious
and insecure press secretary (Richard Kind, Mad About You); a sexist, boorish chief of staff (Alan Ruck, Ferris Bueller's Day Off); an impeccably groomed gay activist running minority affairs (Michael Boatman, Arli$$); a sharp and efficient, man-crazy accountant (Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights); and an idealistic young speechwriter (Alexander Chaplin). Like Mike, they are all professionally capable but personally challenged.

Bonus Features:

* The Spin: The cast and creators look back at how the show began and remember its first season. Includes all-new interviews with Michael J. Fox, Barry Bostwick, Richard Kind, Alan Ruck, Michael Boatman, Connie Britton, and Alexander Chaplin and show creators Gary David Goldberg and Bill Lawrence and more.

* Prime-Time Partners: Highlights of The Paley Center for Media Seminar presented in October 1996.In October 1996, Michael J. Fox and Gary David Goldberg gave a seminar for members of the Museum of Television & Radio (now know as the Paley Center for Media).

great show about the early years of clark kent 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

"Smallville" was a show that I feel premiered when the golden age of The WB (sadly its called The CW now) was coming to a close, and was really the only good show that was left on the channel. I'm also a charmed fan, but after Shannen Doherty's departure, Charmed went downhill, (and since Veronica Mars didn't come till later that can't be included in the golden era) so I was excited about this show and was very pleased with it.

Its easy to see why "Smallville" drew in the largest audience ever on The WB when it premiered. (I'm not sure if it still holds that title but I know that it did at one time)

It tells the story of Clark Kent aka Superman, during his teenage years, living in the small town of Smallville, and shows how he struggles between trying to fit in at his high school (he's not exactly part of the in crowd), deal with his super powers and making sure no one finds out his secret, and of course theres his long time crush Lana Lang (played by the beautiful Kristin Kreuk) who he longs to be with. You also get to see a friendship form between him and his future enemy, Lex Luthor (played by Michael Rosenbaum) after Clark saves his life.

This show does a good job of being a teen drama mixed with sci-fi (although during the first few seasons, its more of a teen drama. It gets more sci-fi during the later seasons I believe)

The only problem with this season is that it seems that during every episode, some random kid is gaining superhuman abilities after being infected by a meteor rock. But beside that....great show! The best part about this season is the season finale, which will leave you dying to see season 2! (which is another great season by the way)

Unfortunately, I can't give you a review on the entire series overall so far, as I am not up-to-date with the current seasons. But its not due to lack of interest! I watched up until mid-season 3, and then I ended up missing a few episodes and before I knew it, I had missed the rest of season 3, along with the entirety of season 4! So I figure now there's no point in trying to catch up since I've now missed several seasons, and instead just planning on purchasing all the seasons on DVD.

Bottom line: if you have not yet see this show, I strongly urge you to purchase this season!

Editorial Review:

Clark Kent will have plenty of reasons to remember his senior year! The thrilling reinterpretation of the Superman legend evolves in Season 4, whose 22 episodes include the quest for 3 Kryptonian crystals and Clark's bold attempt to keep those mysterious stones from destroying Earth. Clark also becomes a highly recruited football star. Lana gets a boyfriend. Lois Lane smart, opinionated and entirely annoying to Clark comes to Smallville. Chloe learns the scoop of the century. Lionel becomes a straight-up nice guy. Lex steps further from the light into darkness. New characters (Krypto, Mr. Mxyzptlk) and a new power emerge. The calling awaits Clark an awakening to a destiny that only he can accept and fulfill.
