one of my fav comedian 4 out of 5 stars.

I gave the dvd 4 out of 5 because I thought they could have added more... They gave me little clips of the funny skits (like my fav gay store manager that comes in riding on the cart). You dont get the full one.. just funny parts of it. The skits were funny and the extras were good. I also have the second one but I really dont recommend you buying it. Just buy this one, if you get a good deal, its worth it.

The "Best of" them all! 5 out of 5 stars.

I've watched nearly all of the "The Best of..." SNL cast members/guests, and this one is, hands-down, my absolute favorite! The same is true for my husband and brother as well. Tons of quotable stuff and hilarious skits, including some classics (i.e. "...more cowbell!") that just make you want to watch it over and over again!

Hit or miss 3 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This has some funny bits in it. Some of the best skits are hilarious because of someone else in the sketch. Christopher Walken steals the "Cowbell" sketch, and Jim Carrey adds that something extra to the predictable "Roxbury" sketch. Some of these just aren't even remotely funny like the Robert Goulet one, while the quick takes offer some of the funniest laughs. Some of these just drag on too long. The Harry Caray bit is funny, but after a while it just seems like Will is simply trying to think of something funny to say.

Colorful, fun, and engaging. My little Elmo fan is now in love with Abby, too. I've seen this about 20 times with my toddler. It's one of the few toddler DVDs that hasn't gotten old for me. Elmo in Grouchland is our 2nd all-time favorite.

Excellent DVD 5 out of 5 stars.

Sesame Street was very creative in making this DVD. LOVE IT! Very colorful, creative, nice songs and great story. I highly recommend it.

Great DVD! 4 out of 5 stars.

Can't go wrong with Sesame Street! Bought 4 for our various nephews & nieces and they love it!

Editorial Review:

Sesame Street's newest muppet, fairy Abby Cadabby, falls asleep and follows a Red Rabbit (Elmo) down a rabbit hole and in to a "Wonderland," where she encounters quirky and whimsical characters including Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (Bert and Ernie) and The Cheshire Cookie Cat. She also attends a silly tea party presided over by a Mad Hatter (Grover) who also can be a "sad" hatter or a "glad" hatter with the change of a hat. Will Abby find her missing magic wand and be able to get back to Sesame Street, or does the Grouch of Hearts (Oscar) have other plans?

Great season for this show 5 out of 5 stars.

Back with a vengance, Sealab 2021's hilarious 2nd season really shines! The Bizarro characters are in this season. And my favorite episode when Murphy goes searching for a golf shop in his most hated Pod (I think it was Pod 6) and tries to run over somebody just because he's from that pod, and the lovable (but one episode lived) Squishface, a white blob who reproduces by drinking alcohol, farts as a defense mechanicism and can transform into anything. For those who haven't seen that many episodes will enjoy the classic Tinfins (but what makes this episode funny are the Grizzlebees commercials and Kid'n'Play apperances). One thing I would like to point out is that (although Murphy does appear in 3 or 5 more episodes in the 3rd box set) that after this set, Captain Murphy is gone to fight the Great Spice Wars (but in real life, the guy who played Murphy, Harry Goz, died from cancer and the Sealab creators decided it was best to retire his character, like Phil Hartman with Troy McClure and Lional Hutz from the Simpsons). Murphy was probably the best character in the show because of his personality and the Goz did a great job acting as him. This is a great collection. Anyone who likes Adult Swim shows or anything should like this. I recommend this and the 1st season.

Editorial Review:

Oh, what a difference a year makes. The crew of classic 1972 series Sealab 2020 has been replaced with a gang of misfits unfit for public service. Their mission: to investigate underwater colonization. They are doing a very bad job.

Editorial Review:

At last, the complete first season!

Spin City is a smart, sophisticated ABC sitcom about the behind-the-scenes workings of City Hall in the biggest city in America. Workaholic Mike Flaherty (Michael J. Fox) is the Deputy Mayor of New York City, serving as Mayor Randall Winston s (Barry Bostwick, Rocky Horror Picture Show) key strategist and much-needed handler. Mike runs the city with the help of his oddball staff: an anxious
and insecure press secretary (Richard Kind, Mad About You); a sexist, boorish chief of staff (Alan Ruck, Ferris Bueller's Day Off); an impeccably groomed gay activist running minority affairs (Michael Boatman, Arli$$); a sharp and efficient, man-crazy accountant (Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights); and an idealistic young speechwriter (Alexander Chaplin). Like Mike, they are all professionally capable but personally challenged.

Bonus Features:

* The Spin: The cast and creators look back at how the show began and remember its first season. Includes all-new interviews with Michael J. Fox, Barry Bostwick, Richard Kind, Alan Ruck, Michael Boatman, Connie Britton, and Alexander Chaplin and show creators Gary David Goldberg and Bill Lawrence and more.

* Prime-Time Partners: Highlights of The Paley Center for Media Seminar presented in October 1996.In October 1996, Michael J. Fox and Gary David Goldberg gave a seminar for members of the Museum of Television & Radio (now know as the Paley Center for Media).

Another season of Stargate SG-1 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

The thinpak packaging is really good as far as storing 5 DVDs in a minimum of shelf space. This particular season did have one damaged or defective DVD and Amazon came through with a replacement in a very timely manner. Stargate is an Exceptionally good Sci-Fi series. The characters are well written, consistent and well acted. We eventually bought the entire series one or two season(s) at a time to make sure we had a chance to watch all the DVDs while a return for replacement was still possible. It took us about four months to watch all 10 seasons. I highly recommend that you start with season one of the series to judge for yourself. Season one is far better than the original movie starring Kurt Russel IMHO. Stargate SG-1, saving the universe one episode at a time.

Should have ended it here. 4 out of 5 stars.

Great season for SG-1. I only wish that they would have ended the show with season 7.

As it has been since season 1, the SG-1 team grants us with hours of humor, emotion, fantasy and incredible special effects! The featurettes are extra fun. Enjoy!

BEST EPISODE EVER: Window of opportunity 5 out of 5 stars.

This season contains the episode voted most popular for the marathon count down. "Window of Opportunity" represents the humor, philosophy, and human interest that made this series so popular. If you can't decide which season to buy, I recommend this one.

Thrilling 5 out of 5 stars.

Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Chris Judge & Michael Shanks makes this show what it is today. I think that every season is getting better & better, I hope that Stargate SG-1 stays on course for many more season's and more motion pictures on the big screen. Thanks to all the writers and directors

It is Stargate SG-1 what else has to be said! The best sci-fi series created.

Lucid and serious 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Nice series to watch. Lots of phantasy and sci-fi mixed together. Characters that develop as you watch the different episodes. It does require pre-knowledge, of what happenend before. The series has a certain lucidity and realism. You don't always emphatise with what you're shown. The series allows for comment and questions of your own about it. There is a certain self-reflection built in to it.

Well, it's been a while... 3 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

...since I wrote a review on a South Park DVD boxset, in fact it's almost been a couple of years.

Anyway, since I wrote my review on Season 7 back in April 2006, I've grown up a fair bit. So for those who read my previous reviews, it's all changed. I watched these episodes back in August/September 2006, when this set first came out, but never got around to reviewing the box back then for some reason.

Disc 1:
Good Times With Weapons: Personally, this episode didn't (and still doesn't) do much for me, as I grew out of anime a few years ago. 6/10

Up The Down Steroid: Better than GTWW, one of the better ones in this season. 7.5/10

Passion Of The Jew: Again, didn't do much for me, the whole Passion Of The Christ stuff simply didn't interest me. 5.5/10

You Got F-d in The A: Good storyline, but kinda weird at the same time (I don't know why, it seemed South Park changed a lot between Season 7 and Season 8, or it might just be me) 7/10

AWESOM-O: One of the better episodes of this season. God Cartman is evil sometimes! 9/10

Disc 2:
The Jeffersons: Michael Jackson was (and still is) a target for humour, again more classic Cartman, but still not as good as an average Season 3-7 episode. 8/10

Goobacks: Don't really like this episode for some reason, though the gay man pile is slightly funny. 5/10

Douche And Turd: Failed to meet my expectations, and that scene where Stan gets thrown out of town on a cow and gets a bucket put on his head? That is NOT funny! 4/10

Something This Wal-Mart Way Comes: Again, failed to meet expectations, okay for what it is, but it does make me want to go to Wal-Mart! 6/10

Pre-School: Another interesting (but mildly funny, no serious laughs like previous seasons), episode, nice piece of back history. 6.5/10

Disc 3:
Quest For Ratings: The whole 'Close Up Of Animals' concept is funny at first, but not enough to sustain a whole show. 6/10

Stupid Spoiled Whore Playset: Nowhere near as good as I thought it would be, and the Paris goes up Mr. Slave's butt scene is just a rip-off of the Lemmiwinks episode, which was both funnier and more disturbing. 5/10

Cartman's Incredible Gift: Ms. Crabtree dies for some reason, not that made much of a difference anyway, unlike a certain operation in the first episode of Season 9... Married with Children did a better psychic episode back in 1992 anyway, worth checking that show out. 6.5/10

Woodland Critter Christmas: The best of this season by far, this was the last episode (although we didn't know about it at the time) that Mr. Garrison was still Mr. Garrison. VERY funny. 10/10

I'm not sure whether it's just me, but my advice to new South Park fans would be to watch all the seasons before this one first, and if you like this one (more than I did), then go on to Season 9 and 10. It's all downhill from this season on, I'm afraid...............

Editorial Review:

All fourteen episodes from South Park’s out-of-control eighth season are now available for the first time in this exclusive 3-disc collector’s set. Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman find themselves in the middle of hot-button political issues and celebrity shenanigans. Season eight is capped off with a very special Christmas episode done in the way only South Park does Christmas! For these four boys, it’s all part of growing up in South Park!

Voyager Getting On It's Feet 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

There is so much of consequence that happened during this year of Star Trek Voyager that....I do not entirely know when to start. Season 4 marked a very pronounced change for the show:probably the most extreme directional shift in the entire Star Trek cannon.Several major things contributed to this. For one the conclusion of the 'Scorpion' cliffhanger meant two things:that the Borg would play a far bigger role in the series from this point on,and that it served to introduce the Seven Of Nine character-a crucial element (depending on who you believe) in the shows renewed success. Another contribution to the change in Voyager this season is some major resolution in many of the characters:Tuvok got promoted,Tom Paris And B'lanna Torres finaly consumed a long jestating relationship and Janeway began altering her hairstyle. Not only that but the focus of the series in general became more fast paced and more outward focused then the emphasis on "bottle" episodes in the first few seasons of the show. This season is some to many of the best episodes of the series:"Revulsion" deals with the Norman Bates of holograms and "Year Of Hell" may very well be one of the most broad time based stories Star Trek ever did. Many of the episodes this season dealt with Trek's sense of social commentary Star Trek did so well:"Random Thoughts" deals with literal thought police and the "forbidan fruit" syndrome legality can create,"Scientific Method" showcases the idea of unethical medical practices,"Mortal Coil" with loss of faith,"Retrospect" deals in an undercut way with the issue of rape while "Living Witness" (one of my favorites of the season) deals with the all important issue of revisionist history. Many episodes such as "One","Prey","The Raven" and the wonderful "The Omega Directive" deal with the development of the Seven of Nine Character herself-the latter dealing with "the Borg holy grail":omega. "Message In A Bottle","Vis A Vis" and "Hope And Fear" deal loosely with another issue this season bought up:Voyager making more headway in their journey to Earth. "The Gift" is an episode which brings to mind the main controversial element of this season:the departure of Jennifer Lien as Kes. Even after watching the bonus features on this and hearing all varrieties of gossip and such I still have no idea why the Kes character was so abruptly and unceremoniously removed from the show. That is beyond the fact the writers insisted the Kes character "wasn't working out". It only leaves me,along with many others to speculate. All I know is mums the word with the cast and crew of the show. I'd love to know because while I appreciate Seven Of Nine and think she contributed to Star Trek a lot in general I don't see how the character of Kes "could'nt be salavaged" and wished she could've remained.Despite that this is a strong season and signaled a new beginning for Voyager.

Whew! fixed the packaging problem that they had with the SG1 complete series! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

So Glad that they changed the cases that the dvd's came in from the SG1 series, we ended up putting the SG1 series on a bulk cd spindle to prevent scratching the disks up as that set came in tight cardboard sleeves that rubbed against the disks producing scratches..bummer!!

Now regarding the content of Stargate Atlantis......... ever since hearing Rodney McKay tell Samantha Carter that he always was attracted to DUMB BLONDES (her!) I couldn't wait for more of the witty banter & sarcastic remarks, they really were so unexpected & funny! While the other characters took more time to grow on me, my husband & sons fell right into step from their beloved SG1 series ....onward & upward to Atlantis! Bummer that we have to wait for the next years shows..we live waaaay out in the hills of TN, no TV reception so we exclusively watch DVD's, but as with SG1, you can't go wrong here, (see my review on that)PLUS you get to see your beloved SG1 characters again on "Atlantis" as they pop in & out of the shows as guest stars!
