Included on the Complete Season set! 2 out of 5 stars.

In a very unclear and probably intentionally confusing marketing move, this and all of the other "2-hour TV special" Little House DVDs being released separated are actually included on the Complete Season box sets being released by the same company. I purchased three of these "specials" before realizing that they were all 2-part episodes to be found on the complete season sets. While I don't have a problem with these 2-part shows being released separately, I don't understand the need for it and I really, really wish that it would be made clear somewhere on the packaging. Considering that these single disc releases have no special features, this is the worst example of DVD "double dipping" I've seen in a long time!!

Laura's horse is injured soon after and she believes it to be her Grandpa's fault. The second season is very well done. The characters seem to show more depth
and the story line keeps you guessing.

I miss this show so much! 5 out of 5 stars.

I love this show and watch a few Season 1 and Season 2 DVDs almost every weekend.

La Femme Nikita Season 1 And Season 2 Boxset Errors!!! 1 out of 5 stars.
2 of 11 people found this review helpful.

I am a huge fan of La Femme Nikita and when I purchased Season One boxset off Ebay I was so thrilled and couldn't wait to watch it. But I noticed that all the special features that were advertised are not on the discs, maybe one or two deleted scenes but that's it. What happened to the "Making Of La Femme Nikita and interviews with cast and creators. On Disc One it says to check out discs 2,3 and 6 for more special features and there aren't any!!!

Then I purchased Season Two and the same thing there, only two or three deleted scenes and that's it!!! And also on Disc 5 Episode 18 which is called "Off Profile" is actually episode 21 which is "Adrian's Garden". Then on Disc 6 I looked at episode 21 called "Adrian's Garden" and thought that maybe that would be "Off Profile" and it was once again the same Episode "Adrian's Garden". So I have the same episode twice and I am missing one Episode. I have a funny feeling that these discs are not the originals and I am hoping to get a refund. If it doesn't happen I will report this seller to Ebay for selling Bootleg Copies.

Could someone write and say whether they have noticed the same thing on their Season 1 and Season 2 as well. Would really like to know what's going on here.

Editorial Review:

"You're one of us now," Nikita is told. But has she truly abandoned her compassionate nature and become an unquestioning member of the soulless covert organization called Section One? Or has she mastered the group's knack for deceit and cover-up so efficiently that she can beat Section at its own game? The sleek, chic and powerful adventures of the agent codenamed Josephine continue in Season Two of the intrigue-filled five-year series that stars Peta Wilson in the title role. All 22 year-two episodes are here - episodes in which Nikita's life and ultimately the survival of Section itself are on the line. Also included is a special intel portfolio of insider Bonus Features. Stay focused on the mission with this very fatale Femme.

LEXX
Starring:
Brian Downey as Stanley Tweedle
Xenia Seeberg as Xev
Michael McManus as Kai
Jeffrey Hirschfield as 790
They’ve seen a lot of trouble in their time as intergalactic wanderers, but the LEXX crew members really hit the bad-news big time exploring their final frontier: the good old U.S.A. The crew gets a heavy dose of Americana in these four episodes, including a classic car chase, an obsessed mortician and paramilitary wackos. Very special guest star Britt Ekland oozes suburban angst in the episode "Prime Ridge." As seen on the SCI FI Channel.

4.13 769 — The scheming robot head 790 gets equipped for love.
4.14 Prime Ridge — The crew members settle down in the perfect suburb.
4.15 Mort — Stan, Kai and Xev are sheltered by a mortician with a bizarre obsession.
4.16 Moss — A paranoid, post-Waco patriot turns the screws on the captured crew.

Some "creative burnout" is now showing on "The Lexx" 3 out of 5 stars.
3 of 4 people found this review helpful.

On this DVD volume there is a good episode, a great episode!, another "stupid teenagers" invade The Lexx story, and a head scratcher where the writers are seriously reaching for plot. Here are the episodes:

4.17 Dutch Treat--President Priest, First Lady Bunny, and Prince (caught inside a television set--this is completely unexplained, and seems to have no other purpose than to allow Prince some dialogue). This has some fun editing during on sequence where President Priest and Bunny have to kill a bunch of Moth Breeders in able to regain the key to the Lexx. Just call him "Cowboy Priest." But when they finally get the key, the Lexx is too ill to go anywhere without eating first. They let the Lexx eat Holland. Thus the title of this episode.

4.18 The Game--Chess enthusiasts will love this episode, as I did. Kai and Prince play a high stakes game of chess in the Other Zone where, if Prince wins, Stan and Xev will die. If Kai wins, he will be given life by Prince so that he may finally die. The character discrepancy that allows Kai any sort of motivation other than to kill is always questionable. But this is, and always will be, a classic Lexx episode.

4.19 Haley's Comet--This is where the Lexx is showing it's fatigue as a show. This is another re-do story from season 2 but with a minor plot change. Teenagers invade the Lexx, and instead of Kai going on a murderous rampage slaughtering them all, one of the teens does it with a little motivation from psycho-Robot Head 790. Oh, and there just happens to be a "black pack" on the bridge that nobody has noticed? A "black pack," for those unacquainted, is a very nasty disintegration weapon. This is a tired episode, and if not for a couple truly dazzling special effects near the end, would be a complete waste of time.

4.20 Apocalexx Now--Lyekka, or rather a reasonable facsimile, returns to the Lexx. Now the crew is in Vietnam, of all places, and this is another case of the makers of this show reaching for any sort of story. There are a lot of episodes in season 4 that just don't feel like science fiction, but more along the borders of bizarre fantasy. And just like the previous episode, the humor is either forced on the viewer or absent. This show used to have great satire, but all too often during season 4, like in this weird episode, the story fails to enthrall.

The first two episodes here are the DVD's only saving grace, while the last two are really unnecessary viewing. One more DVD to go...

Editorial Review:

Caught between their ailing, organic spaceship and doomed planet Earth, the LEXX crew members make one last-ditch move after another as the plot thickens and their troubles multiply. This offbeat SCI FI Channel favorite heats up in these four episodes from the final season that include satirical echoes from classic films, parodies of sacred institutions and blasts from the series’ own past.
4.17 Dutch Treat — With the LEXX on its last legs, the crew desperately seeks refuge elsewhere. 4.18 The Game — Kai and Prince play a high-stakes chess game in the "Other Zone." 4.19 Haley’s Comet — Teenagers invade the LEXX, which can only mean trouble. 4.20 Apocalexx Now — Lyekka resurfaces, more ravenous than ever.

what the heck is going on in DUISBERG? 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

FINALLY....that question has been answered!! Herr Lipp is featured, along with his wife and choir (pronounced "queer") boys. This is by far the funniest of the three stories (the others featuring charlie/stella and Dr. Chinnery). If you're a fan of Herr Lipp (who isn't?), this is a must purchase.

Be warned that this is more like Series 3, and it's pretty dark (duh) for a Christmas Special.

Beware I previously bought the same dvd but was in a different package. It comes as "The Lucy Show 30 episodes on 3 dvd's". It has a picture of her face and is in red trim. It is poor quality, but still enjoyable.

good, just not what I remember 4 out of 5 stars.

Laudable, but not Original 3 out of 5 stars.
19 of 20 people found this review helpful.

The Kultur series is notorious for making works that are really just dry slideshow lectures. However, this one had reenactments and actually people being interviewed, so it moved more effectively.
Few works cover both the Aztecs and the Mayans. I appreciate that this work covered both, but it may confuse imprudent viewers who could collapse the two civilizations together.
This work confirms what most works on these peoples say. The Mayan civilization declined before European contact, the Aztecs had indigenous enemies, they believed strongly in human sacrifices, and the Aztec people themselves killed their leader Moctezuma II. For those who know much about the Aztecs and Mayas, this work will say nothing new. I applaud the work for saying the Mayans and Aztecs have descendants who live and speak the ancient languages to this day.
This disc was really made for a European audience. Though I understood the British narrator, the academic interviewees had accents so strong, a Yankee like myself just couldn't understand it.
I think this work may be too boring for an elementary class, but it would be okay for high school students. Those fascinated by ancient cultures should appreciate it.

Editorial Review:

The Mayan civilization enjoyed a glorious period from 325 AD to 925 AD. Skilled potters, weavers and farmers, the magnificent temples at Chichen Itza and Copan are among the legacies of peace-loving people. The Aztecs of Mexico are remembered for their architecture, sculpture, art, and for their religious rituals which included large scale human sacrifice. This program contains superb graphics and computer animation, detailed reconstructions of ancient life, paintings and images, location footage, and Insightful interpretation and analysis.
