The DVD version is edited, just like the TV version 2 out of 5 stars.

I saw the Al Pacino interview on DVD, and they have edited the language, just like the TV version.
What is the benefit of buying the DVD version if we cannot hear the full dialogue of these great actors?
Terrible decision to edit the DVD. I recently saw the Robin Williams interview on Bravo. Enormously funny, which made me think about buying the DVD version, if it exists. However, the TV version is heavily edited or "bleeped" out. Now I know the DVD version is exactly the same as the TV version. I think that one of the benefits of buying a program is that we get to see the full, raw interview. Not for this series, unfortunately.
4 stars for the interview, 0 stars for the Actors Studio dopes who decided to heavily edit what these great actors are saying.

The Beginnings Of Comic Book To Television Greatness History 5 out of 5 stars.

Back in the late 70's I was just a child already fixated on the power of episodic fantasy television. Even at this early age, shows like Star Trek, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Battlestar Galactica were mandatory viewing. But each of them paled in comparison to probably one of the finest comic book to television adaptations ever, The Incredible Hulk. Overseen by Kenneth Johnson of Six Million/Bionic Woman fame, this weekly show took some of the best aspects from the comic book, and added a few of it's own, to create one of the most well-written and acted shows of it's genre ever. Starring Bill Bixby as the forever-tormented David Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the beast of rage trapped inside him, this series about a doctor who searches for a cure to the gamma radiation he inflicted on himself to tap into his inner strengths, but turns him instead into a six and a half foot green monster whenever he gets angry, was so well done, both kids and their parents gathered around their TV sets to enjoy it week after week. Miles ahead in writing than most Sci-Fi series of it's day, this is one show that truly has stood the test of time.
The Complete First Season pretty much sums up Hulk's first ever single-season release. You get all 12 episodes (two of which are two-hour ones being the Pilot and the first airing), plus a bonus episode from Season Two. While most fans have grown up with the reruns or seen them recently on the Sci-Fi Channel, the picture quality is much better here. Granted, print damage of specs and a few lines still exist, it's color spectrum and black levels are spot-on, making this viewing seem almost made recently. Audio hasn't changed with a decent 2.0 mono though. As for the shows themselves, Hulk started out with a bang, but does suffer a tad from "first season jitters". Basically following "The Fugitive" handbook, Hulk basically
keeps the same pattern, with 2 "Hulk-Outs" per episode. But it's the acting that keeps you in. Not hokey or corny like other 70's shows, but with feeling and drama. Sure, the transformations today look terribly dated, but considering what they had to work with, it should be forgiven. The only other extra is a commentary that was previously released from a single disc version of the pilot, but with all 12 shows you won't feel cheated by a lack of them. A great look into a classic Sci-Fi/Action series humble beginnings.
With all the recent Marvel films that have come out over the past ten years, this television chapter should be revisted by all. Minus the hairstyles and clothing, it truly doesn't look aged that much. And I would take an actual actor sprayed green over fakey cartoonish CGI anyday. A worthy addition to your Fantasy/Sci-Fi DVD collection.

I dream of Jeannie season one is a must for any collector. I currently have the first three seasons and when I can I plan on getting the others. Its a great show for the entire family filled with humor and prat falls. Barbara Eden is beautiful and very funny. Larry Hagman plays a great straight man to her antics. Bill Daily's character adds more humor as he is always trying to steal, trick or just borrow Jeannie from her master.

I just love this beautiful series from the 60`s.
Many years since I first had the pleasure to laugh through these episodes.
Now on dvd I can see them as many times I want.
My son and daughter (10 and 6) also love the humor in this golden beauty.
Larry Hagman and Barbra Eden is just fantastic among the others which made this
series so popular.

If you were a big of the "I Dream of Jeannie" show then you will love this dvd set. This set is from the first season and it's loaded with funny episodes. I must admit that I was a little worried that the colorized version wouldn't be that great but I was pleasantly surprised. The colors were perfect. If you didn't know that the original was in black and white, you would think it was actually done in color. This dvd set is great fun for the whole family which is so rare these days. I highly recommend it.

I LOVE LUCY!! This show was really a big hit. It was bigger than big. In this video they go behind the scenes of "I Love Lucy." They even go to Jamestown, New York to show you where Lucille ball grew up. They talk about Lucy and Rickys childhood backgrounds. This is full of information that any Lucy fan would find interresting if you don't know it already. Its worth the money. They even have celebrities who talk about what they thought about the show with Whoopi Goldberg starting out the video. This is for any Lucy fan. They also count down the top 10 most popular Lucy episodes in the video. Get it while you can. Its worth it!! This is suppose to be the VHS version.

Read the descriptions of items before you buy them. It clearly says "...with vintage clips from the selected episodes..." Clips does not mean full episodes. Personally, I thought this was an excellent DVD about the history of "I Love Lucy." And guess what, reviewer from Russia, in order to have a history video, you must have information on the actors. This video provides accurate information about all aspects of the show, characters, actors, and the actors' personal lives. The very special part is that they got Lucie and Desi Jr., the children of Lucy and Desi, to comment on the show and on their parents, as well as sing a revitalization of "Babalu." A must have for any "I Love Lucy" enthusiast.

This dvd was art! Before viewing this, I thought I would never see In Livin COlor again! Altohugh this season lost Kim Coles, Jaime Fox did not join yet, and they omitted some skits like Vanilla Ice parody, it has so many heavy weights:
1. Men On Film ("Two snaps, a twist and a kiss! Stop, can't touch this" - lol)
2. All the Frenchie's ("I'm slick, I'm hip, and all the woman love my ____, gotcha!!")
3. All The Hey Mons ("ONE JOB!!!! GET UP YOU LAZY HEIFER, YOU FINE!")
4. All the Homey The Clowns especially Homey Meets Sally ("White Girl's Off Beat" - after the homey love song)
5. The Snack 'N Shack with the orthodontists("Don't make mama have to spank you!")
6. Lil' Miss Trouble and Parnell
7. Caulhoun Tubbs funeral home ("Fatback had no life insurance. You gonna loose the house and car. - aaahaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! thank you")
8. The skit with the gay choregrapher at the football field ("I'm gonna be your mother, father, sister and your brother")

17. All the Anton sketches
Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, Kim Wayans, and T'kea Knight were the main highlights of the season as well as the series (before Jaimee came in). A must have show although they false advertised the buyers by not having the complete episodes. Thats why it gets 4 stars instead of 5! Overall, I love it!! Watch out for season 3 and 4 dvds because you will NOT get as much as a break as you did with this season and season 1.

This set and a new complete Knight Rider series will be released on the same day. Oct 21, 2008. So far seasons 1-4 total 18 single sided discs. Season 5 will also be released on the same day. since it was only 6 episodes I believe it will be a 2 disc set. This will total the 20 discs this set claims to contain. So if you don't have the four already released seasons then I recommend this set. If you have them just get season 5. Unless more bonus features are announced, I see no reason for a double dip.

It's nice to know that this set is being released after the first four seasons already hit the street. Another gimmick from Universal to squeeze our hard-earned wages from our pockets? You bet!!!
Before Universal announced the release of the 1st season, they released a fan favorite set entitled the Ultimate Collection. This collected the very best of the entire series knowing that the fans would clear the shelves. Seeing that they struck gold, they went ahead and released season 1. Season 2 followed, along with seasons 3 & 4, and not a word of a complete series box set until the damaged was done. Why? Simple. Milk the people dry!
Hats off, Universal! I just hope you have enough space in your warehouses for all those complete series box sets that nobody's gonna buy.

The Inspector Lynley Mysteries 2 finds the mismatched police detectives from Elizabeth George's novels somewhat more harmonious than in their previous quartet of BBC/PBS dramas. While aristocratic Detective Inspector Thomas Lynley (Nathaniel Parker) and his working class, protégée-partner Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers (Sharon Small) maintain a shaky trust, they develop a firm regard and respect for one another, even making small inroads into each other's personal lives. Not that romance is in the air: One can spot the occasional wistful look on their faces, but the emerging intimacy between Lynley and Havers has more to do with sharing tough times in the trenches of murder investigations.Playing for the Ashes concerns the killing of a respected cricket star and the strange constellation of suspects directly or indirectly connected to him, including an estranged wife, an angry lover, a maternal philanthropist and her streetwalker daughter, an untrustworthy agent, and a network of animal-liberation activists. Compre esta serie, sin grandes expectativas, y comence a verla sin saber que esperar (Soy un gran expectador de series....y en el pasado he empezado a ver otras que por malas no termine).
El inicio empezo, si bien interesante, algo lento. Pero a mediados del 2do DVD las cosas mejoraron notablemente, hasta hacerla espectacular.
Su relacion familiar, personajes, riesgo, conflictos y en general todo el trama de la serie, hizo que esta fuera para mi, muy buena y la cual disfrute hasta el final (por eso tiene mis 5 estrellas).
Realmente lamento que no haya una 2da temporada.....ya que indudablemente me he enganchado en su historia....y tiene un lugar entre las series que recomendare.
SAVE THIS SERIES! DEMAND MORE SEASONS! 5 out of 5 stars.

Invasion is an excellent series with an excellent plot cast with excellent actors.
THe series presents a fresh new Altantis twist on the X-Files, EBE, Aliens among us theme.
After watching the entire series in this set I am stunned that it was canceled after a single season.
This series should be renewed with a 2nd season.
Cry out!
And for God's sake...be careful near the water's edge!
