I got this DVD over Paranormal State, A Haunting, and some others. I was told this was the "best out there" to feed my addiction to paranormal "stuff". I watched the first disc in one sitting and it was horrible. They got maybe uh, 2 decent EVP readings? And nothing else? I know they are out to "disprove" everything but honestly, it may be better if you just fake it a little or something, make it interesting. It also looks like an amateur is walking around with the camera; constant unsteady movement. Gives me a friggin headache. They do paranormal investigating out of a trailor? What? And it focuses on them being plumbers way too much. Not recommended at all. Absolutely horrible. Paranormal State blew this out of the water.

Its great, George is funny, that whole family is funny as heck! Ernie is a crack up!!

Now where is the rest? Seriously Warner Bros. there should not be a holdup of this show anymore. Unless you are prepping this for a Blu ray HD box set, release the rest of the series already. Though a Blu ray set for the rest of the show would be nice.

THis was amazing! We lost our cable a while ago but had also been collecting the seasons. So it was a nice treat to sit down and see what we had missed during the regular aired season and watch it without commericals! TAPS is always awesome to watch...regardless of the season that you buy.

As A Die-hard Andy Griffith Show fan,Gomer Pyle,USMC just completes the wonderful experience of great comedy that sort of ties in both shows...Frank Sutton is just fantastic and I feel often overlooked as one of the great character actors of his time..When you have seen these episodes as often as I have,the characters,actors and story lines really are funny.If your a great fan of Mayberry,this series really belongs with that collection.In a way its like having 13 seasons of a time period that all ties together for lots of laughs and memories....I AM alittle upset that some of these episodes have been edited and some of Jim Nabors musical numbers have been ommited.Also,I feel there should have been more commentary from Jim Nabors and maybe some of the surviving cast members.It would be great to hear about the filming of some of these episodes from the actual actors and writers....Great shame that the series ended when it did without any conclusion..Unfortunately,though the show was in the top 20 for its entire run,times were changing for television and like many light-rural comedies of the time,all were canceled to make room for more political and social commentary-like shows that would take tv into the 70s

"GUNSMOKE" premiered in 1955 and was canceled in 1975, for a total of 20 seasons and 635 episodes. It is one of the best, if not the best, television series of all time. Originally, it was in the black and white half hour format, then it went to black and white full hour, and finally to the beloved color full hour programming. The episodes in color are probably the best known to today's audiences. But I guarantee you that the episodes from the original black and white programming are just as good, and the first season is no exception. This great show also had an excellent cast. James Arness was Marshal Matt Dillon of Dodge City, Kansas, Amanda Blake was Miss Kitty Russell, a prostitute at first, and then later the full owner of The Long Branch. When the show first started out, Kitty was just a madame, or, as the show so cleverly disguised it, a "saloon girl". Over time, the many fans of the show began to see her profession as awkward, because how could she work in the saloon when there was a certain special relationship between her and Matt? Since the show was so strongly devoted to its fans, the writers changed Miss Kitty to at first half owner, and then later, full owner. However, the show never took Kitty and Matt's relationship to a higher level. It would be strange to see Marshal Dillon come home to a house full of kids, now wouldn't it? Also in the main cast were Dennis Weaver as Chester Goode, and Milburn Stone as Galen "Doc" Adams. Chester was not a deputy, but more of a helper to Matt. He was best known for his straight legged limp and his high pitched cries of "Mr. Dillon". Doc was a crusty and cantankerous old coot on the outside, but had a very good heart on the inside. The constant friendly badgering between Doc and Chester was always hilarious, so much that they eventually became somewhat of a comedy act. Unfortunately, Weaver left the show in 1964 to pursue other things. This is when the newer and more familiar to modern audience age of "Gunsmoke" was ushered in. When the show brought in Ken Curtis as Festus Haggen in 1959, Roger Ewing as Thad Greenwood in 1965, and Buck Taylor as Newly O'Brien in 1967. But I am not picky, and love any episode just as much as another. I shall look forward to all those episodes, some of which I have never seen. Other wonderful characteristics of this show were its impeccable use of guest stars, and transitioning the Western genre from the old serials of the 1940's to the adult Western. This show was actually the first adult television Western. The writers and producers attempt was to break away from the cliche-laden Lone Ranger to the realistic West. No masked men found here! The first season of "Gunsmoke" did not feature as much as it would later in the way of special guest stars, because it was just viewed as another Western. However, this first season did have several guest stars, such as John Dehner, Royal Dano, Aaron Spelling, Charles Bronson, and Strother Martin. The guest stars can be found more abundantly in later seasons, but it did not take long for the producers to realize the jackpot they had found for television. if you have the first 2 seasons then I'm sure you will end up getting this one. like all this type of T.V. non-sense to sit and watch the entire DvD
in one sitting will get pretty old fast but for a occasional evening of a episode or 2 this makes for a great distraction.

They just don't make sit-coms like they used to. When it comes to slapstick humor, and crazy fun, Gilligan's Island is the one! There is also an inventiveness and creativity to this humor that you don't find in other comedies, making it unique and entertaining without insulting one's intelligence. The second season is in color, thank goodness.

I'm finding my kids enjoy it now just as much as I did at their age "back in the day." With hours upon hours of episodes to watch, this is worth every penny, especially for long car trips! I'd rate the humor "G," though there are a few sultry moments involving Ginger that qualify as "PG." Overall though , it is good family entertainment, without the worry of profanity strewn in.
