Editorial Review:

Over 35,000 fans have demanded it, and so it has come. That’s how many rabid "Freaks and Geeks" fans have signed a petition via the Internet to plead for its release on DVD. "Freaks and Geeks," the Emmy® award-winning series about the trials and tribulations of high school outsiders in 1980 Michigan is finally coming out on DVD in its original form, with all the original music. And believe us – clearing over 130 music cues from the likes of The Who, Billy Joel, Bob Seger and their peers was no easy task.

"Freaks and Geeks" ran for only one television season, but arguably remains the most sought-after series yet to be released on DVD. Just 18 episodes were made, but its legend has exploded over time. Cast members have gone on to stardom, articles have continued to be written, internet activity abounds. Shout! Factory celebrates this incredible television series with the passionate treatment it deserves.

Box set features:
- The complete series – all 18 episodes on 6 DVDs, including the director’s cut of the pilot, with never-before-seen footage.
- Deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes.
- 29 audio commentaries by the actors, writers, directors, network executives, parents of cast members and obsessive fans.
- 28-page booklet with an essay by "Freaks and Geeks" creator Paul Feig, Q&A with executive producer/writer Judd Apatow and illustrated by extremely geeky photos.
- Deluxe DVDigistak style package with graphics behind the clear trays in a sturdy slip-case.

I bought this box set cos the reviews hold the show in high regard. And Kyle Chandler is great in other things ive seen him in. This is a great show. The characters are intreguing and interesting.

Also. i know nothing about gridiron. Thats what we Aussies call it. Not knowing about the sport doesn't affect how you perceive the show. A great surprise, i couldn't stop watching.

Horrible at best 1 out of 5 stars.

This outing from the Futurama crew was by far the 'worst episode ever' (thank you Comic Book Guy). The beginning has such promise: interspecies marriage! unexplained phenomena in the sky! Bender getting electrocuted! And then it all goes horribly, horribly wrong. In truth, I can't begin to explain why it's so terrible, since I'm sure many people reading the review will want to buy this movie anyway and I'd certainly hate to ruin the big 'surprise'...however unless you are super keen on seeing all your favorite characters turn into some convoluted chick-flick, sappy version of themselves STAY AWAY from this movie. NOT FUNNY!!!

"Good news everyone! We've made another movie..." 3 out of 5 stars.

I was already unhappy with the first Futurama movie, so I didn't have much hope for the second. I was surprised to see that this installment of Futurama is actually two awkward subplots mashed together: Lovecraftian horror for the first half, and a meditation on religion on the second half.

On the Lovecraftian side, throw in tentacle attacks, slimy ancient gods from beyond time and space, and the nihilistic view that Heaven is a fabrication and you've got a pretty depressing, semi-creepy, not really all that funny first half. Bender finally makes good on his threat to destroy all humans, Fry conveniently forgets his entire relationship with Leela, the Robot Devil shows up for a one-note gag ... I could go on but I'll stop there.

Judging by the reviews so far, the second half went over a lot of peoples' heads. Yivo is a parody of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which is itself a parody of religion. Basically, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a mental construct posed to challenge the notion of a divine being; if you can disprove that the Spaghetti Monster was responsible you win the argument. "Win" being a pretty subjective word, as anyone knows who has argued about religion or politics.

As one big joke about relationships and religion, Beast With a Billion Backs works pretty well. But for reasons known only to the writers, the plot shambles forward well beyond the Big Revelation by Leela about Yivo, the aforementioned Spaghetti Monster. It's like the drunk guy at a party who tells a joke, discovers no one thinks it's funny, then tells it in a slightly different way that STILL doesn't make it funny. We get it: relationships with people can be just as ridiculous as relationships with God. But this is Futurama, and while I appreciate the depth of meaning the show strives for with this movie, it feels forced. A multitude of guest appearances doesn't make up for it.

Still, I can't be too harsh on Futurama. You won't find many animated shows that are willing to take on topics like relationships and religion at the same time, so Futurama gets points for trying. I just wish it didn't try so hard.

Editorial Review:

The thrilling conclusion to Futurama: Benders Big Score.

Bender and the planet express crew must contend with a massive cosmic team that sends the world into panic.

I've never seen FG Season 3 because I was not into the show when it was on the air and I've heard they were the best (S 1-3). I think it is funny and find the current seasons are good also.

Editorial Review:

Family Guy Volume 2 sees the return of America's most outrageous animated family with all 21 Season Three episodes, plus one never-before-seen episode - "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein" banned from TV, and only available in this collection!

In this hilarious final volume, the Griffin family faces all-new dilemmas, including Brian's unintentional foray into directing porn, Stewie's rants on national TV, Meg's date with a nudist and Lois' Yuletide insanity.

Meanwhile, Peter is surprised to discover Lois was once a groupie, and his son, Chris, is more "endowed" than he is.

I like Family Guy a lot even though I just got in to it at the beginning of the year I seen almost all the episodes. This is the first half of the 4th season which is my favorite season. This is also the last season not to begin in September and to have more then 18 episodes. It's a really funny show.

Editorial Review:

Fans will have to wait no longer for the next Volume of Family Guy on DVD! The hilarious first part of Emmy nominated Season 4 will have you laughing like you've never laughed before. Edgier and more irreverant than ever, you'll forget you've ever heard the term "Politically Correct!" The must-have DVD of the season -- any self-respecting guy will own Family Guy Volume 3 on November 29th.

sheer genius! 5 out of 5 stars.

This is by far, my favorite Adult Swim show (and rapidly becoming one of my favorite shows of all time). Its completely and utterly genius. But, my comment is in regards to this posted release date. WHY WAS IT PUSHED BACK 3 MONTHS?!?! It's and 11 minute long show! It's not like they needed more time to edit?!

Awesome show. 5 out of 5 stars.

Frisky Dingo is much better than Sealab 2021. Not that sealab is bad, but it's not consistently funny like Frisky Dingo and the second season is the best. I can't wait to complete my dvd collection. I'm just hoping that they have the heart to put in extra features. Even old commercials would be better than the 0 extras in the first season. Also I saw a review complaining about the pushed released date; I hear that there's supposed to be extra xtacle episodes, so I think that's why that happened.

NO YOU CANNOT HAS CHEESEBURGER!! 5 out of 5 stars.

This show is so amazing becasue it combines some of the best animation with absolutely hilarious writing. Anyone who enjoys Futurama or Robot Chicken or ATHF would love this show.

One of my favorite shows of all time... 5 out of 5 stars.

There are very, very, few shows that I watch multiple times, much less laugh every time I see it. And, Season 2 upped the ante over the fantastic first season simply with the introduction of Wendell. I mean, "he shot himself! ...with my gun somehow." It doesnt get better than this.

I hate to be so over the top with my review, but Frisky Dingo is really that good. Please, please let there be a Season 3!

Funny Show 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I waited for this shows price to be lowered before buying it. I purchased seasons one and two. It's funny and entertaining. Agon's my favorite character. Vincent Price, Don Rickles, were a few of the guest who appeared on the show. There's the clumpsy Captain, played by Ken Berry, who is helpless without his troops assisting him at times. The Sarge and Corporal Agon pretty much run the camp. The dealings with their Indian partners are funny to watch too. I don't remember the person's name who played the Chief, but he is hilarious. It's clean fun, which is almost non-existence these days.

Editorial Review:

Go west...and go loco. Yes, Captain Parmenter and his buffoons in blue are ready again to untame the wilderness in TV's wackiest Western spoof. Wrangler Jane still pines after Parmenter, the Hekawis still plot after profits and Sergeant O'Rourke and Corporal Agarn have more get-rich-quick schemes up their regimental sleeves. A plains-load of comic guest stars joins the fun, including Phil Harris as a 147-year-old Indian chief, Harvey Korman as a Prussian balloonist, Paul Lynde as a singing Mountie, Milton Berle as a flim-flam medicine man and Vincent Price as a spooky Transylvanian count. Enlist now for a second comedy tour: the out-of-its-mind and ahead-of-its-time 31-episode final season of F Troop!
