Raymond, Raymond, Raymond,...... 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Not quiet as good as past seasons but specially gratifying if you get it at a good discount, like I did. It is normal for every show to run out of ideas with time but all things considered ELR wasn't that bad, specially since season 8 might have just been an improvement over the less inspired #7. I specially enjoyed the "Lateness" episode in which I found as much truth and uneasiness as in the classic "The Cannister", in other words, something like this could happen to you (and probably has). I also think the "Misery loves company" episode is one of the best of the series, for a second there you can sense there is more than a glimpse of knowledge in Frank and Marie constantly beligerant attitude toward each other.
I have a collection of TV shows (Cheers, Seinfeld, Taxi, Happy Days,24 etc.) but only in the case of 1 specific show I have bought every available episode: (to put it in Robert's words: Raymond, Raymond, Raymond,....) Case closed.

Editorial Review:

As a world-class neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew Brown is a hero. As a father, he's a zero. But that is changing. Tragedy makes him a single parent to his two children. And as the first act of his new life, Andy leaves Manhattan and moves his family to Everwood, the tiny Colorado town where big dreams can grow. The relationship between Andy and his talented but resentful 15-year-old son Ephram forms the heart of these 23 first-season episodes of Everwood, the acclaimed, richly layered series created by Greg Berlanti (Dawson's Creek). Treat Williams plays Andy, learning parenting on the fly as he raises Ephram (Gregory Smith) and 9-year-old Delia (Vivien Cardone). Unafraid to tackle big issues, spiked with sharp humor and filled with engaging characters, Everwood is a place and a series that rewards each visit you make.

DVD Features:
Audio Commentary:On four episodes (Pilot, Episode 20, the Unveiling, Home) with the show's creators, cast and crew, including Treat Williams and Gregory Smith.
Deleted Scenes:"Everwood Casualties"
Featurette:"In Search of Everwood" - a behind-the-scenes featurette about the making of the show.

We purchased this for a friend's birthday. We had given her Season One before. SHE LOVES IT!!! I think she has worn it out by now! It is a great way to give gifts. Find out what favorite series or movies are and give one for special occasions.

I love the Everybody Loves Raymond series. The show is very comical and shows a realistic view of everyday family life.

You've got to Love Raymond 5 out of 5 stars.

A perfect short infusion of mirth when there's nothing good on the tube. And how often can that happen? Great fun then and now. Hating Doris Roberts is so easy--she is so good at the role of nasty mom-in-law.

raymond 5 out of 5 stars.

TV COMEDY 5 out of 5 stars.

BEST TV SHOW EVER. I WATCHED EVERY EPISODE MORE THAN 10 TIMES AND STILL FIND ALL OF THEM AGELESS AND PRICELESS.

Still the funniest sit-com ever 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

We really loved to watch Raymond and his family and were sorry to watch the last season. But all good things have to come to an end. We are sure that we will watch it over and over again and can only recommend all seasons to everyone.

THE END OF ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

As a whole, season #9 was probably the weakest of all the Raymond seasons but I found fantastic that, for once, we got see one of the all time TV greats leaving with a knock-out-punch-finale, with every character true to their nature in a hilarious way. The first two episodes in season 9 are also rather good but in pretty much the rest of them I felt like the show's writers were trying to extract laughs from the audience as if it was liposuction or something. Perhaps the saddest thing was seeing how fragile Peter Boyle looked at the end but it was great for him to stay until the last episode, I can't imagine how sad it would have been for ELR to have to deal with Frank's passing.
For me it's very simple: 70's: Taxi, 80's Cheers, 90's Raymond. 00's: no idea yet.

who doesn't love raymond? 5 out of 5 stars.

I keep buying these for my dad every father's day, birthday and christmas! It never gets old! By the time he's done with one, it's time to buy him a new gift so it works out perfect!

Lacks something that previous seasons had... 3 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Reading the comments of other reviewers I was intrigued at myself as to why I did not like this season as much as they did. Instead of getting carried over with the momentum of the previous 4 seasons, if we treat season 5 on its own merit, it is a little bit below average. The situations are forced, the actors are forced to fit into their stereotypes, periodic overacting are some of the many issues that plague this season. One reviewer pointed out that the writer had changed for this season. May be that could be a reason. The previous 4 seasons had an element of natural-ness to the sitcom, while in this season the plot feels like it is a result of a hardly-thought-over-process. On repeated viewing, however, I should say that I got used to this season's flavor and started to like it too. Since Amazon does not let me change the rating, I just would like to state here that this season deserves a 4 star lenient rating and not a strict 3 star rating that I have done.

On a macroscopic level, ELR is much better than many other sitcoms of its age.

ER ends in February, 2009. 5 out of 5 stars.
6 of 9 people found this review helpful.

Fans of ER should deserve a Special treat, when ER treats its' last patient in February. ER the Complete Tenth Season (2003-2004), should be released on DVD in February 2009. I think this will make fans MORE THAN HAPPY! Please release Season 10 in February 2009!

I agree whole-heartedly with the previous reviewer 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 4 people found this review helpful.

It would be a great marketing strategy to release "ER" The Complete Tenth Season just as Season 15 comes to a close next February (2009). But, in addition, I have read so much positive feedback about the final season of this extraordinary tv show that I would really, really, REALLY like Warner Bros. to consider releasing The Complete Fifteenth (and Final) Season at some point in 2009 too. Paramount did much the same with "Frasier" The Complete Final Season when Frasier's final season aired. Loyal viewers who have followed "ER" through to it's conclusion would think this a REALLY HUGE TREAT !!!

ER Please never go away 5 out of 5 stars.

ER is THE one and ONLY TV show that SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN OFF THE AIR. With all the new garbage on TV they take the last show worth watching off. If you are a true fan, like me, you must buy all the seasons on DVD. That way you will never lose your 'family', which I feel they have become as I can proudly say I have not missed one episode since the day they previewed.

I used to love Everybody Loves Raymond 1 out of 5 stars.
1 of 4 people found this review helpful.

I loved "Everybody Loves Raymond" because the family reminded me of my own family. However, a light bulb went on one day and I realized that #1.. I was gaining wt. from the power of suggestion regarding all the references to food and #2. There was an awful lot of screaming going on. Hmmmm come to think of it I had wanted to leave home because of the weird temper tantrums so why on earth was I watching this show? I turned to tamer stuff like (don't laugh) the old "Doris Day Show" reruns, and Ballykissangel, Monarch of the Glen, movies based on Jules Verne books, and historical events, and I started listening to lots of books on CDs. I've lost weight and I've since given up all commercial TV. It's great! My stress level is low and I'm living a happier life. And all because I gave up shows like this one. Sorry. I was a huge fan...but maybe someday a light bulb will go on in your head too...I mean how much yelling can a person take?

I WAS A FIREMAN 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I am a retired Los Angeles County Fire Captain. I was on the department when the series was being filmed. I can tell you that it is 'mostly' true to life. It has to be dramatized to tell the story. You can't see the actors if the smoke is real, so it has to be simulated, but the action of the paramedics is nearly "true to life." A lot of our own firemen were featured in the series.

Our Fire Chief, and our P.I.O., Dick Friend, saw to it that it was as near to 'real' life as possible. The driver of E-51, was a real fireman.

Being a fireman, (now firefighter,) is about the most fun one can have, and still remain clothed. The practical jokes that were played are real, the friendships are real, the "love of the job," and the personal bonds that were forged, remain forever.

This series is still being played out in REAL life, every day. Enjoy!!!

Magnificent 5 out of 5 stars.

This product was great! I just love watching Emergency, and in this one I got to see the very first Emergency ever. Also, it was nice not having to deal with any commercials. I recommend this product to anybody who loves the Emergency series because it is truly a keeper.

Season 7 5 out of 5 stars.

What's not to love about all Raymond shows? Most of the shows are fabulous, but a few of the episodes with Amy's parents and brother are on the wierd side.

Great addition for our camper 5 out of 5 stars.

We bought this for our travel trailer. We have 2 small children and movies are often hard to follow while tending to their needs so we bought the 7th season of everybody loves Raymond and find it much easier to watch than a movie. Even though we have already seen every episode made we still watch re-runs and enjoy them, still laughing. I will purchase other seasons in the future.
