Short Review From someone who never saw BOB before~ 5 out of 5 stars.
9 of 10 people found this review helpful.

First of all let me just say that i have never seen Band of brothers before so I'm not a blind fanboy or anything like that , and because I'm not an american so i thought this mini series is not going to be interesting to me , However this mini series is highly praised everywhere and it have 9.6 score on IMDB plus it won the Golden Globe award and Emmy as the BEST series made for TV , so i said to myself lets give it try

So far i have seen only 5 episodes on the BLU-RAY and i have to say that the picture quality is insanely good i own over 30 Blu ray movies and series like Planet Earth, Band of brothers picture quality beat every movie i have ever seen ,yes even Disney Blu rays like pirates, the colors is perfect and its crystal clear, its just UNREAL how good its, i was really surprised i didn't expect TV series picture quality to beat Movies picture quality (Its simply the Best picture quality so far on blu ray to me, but sometimes picture quality jump from crystal clear to "extremely" Grainy on some parts which is intended i believe)

Blu-ray.com reviewed the series today also and gave the picture quality 5/5 and everything else 5/5 kinda XD

I have only seen 5 episodes so far! and i don't want it to end ;( that's why i'm watching it slowly, to be honest i have always hated and avoided World war Movies because to me they are boring as hell, i have heard the story god damn million time in books/video games and Hollywood movies even school books and most of the times each version of the movie is different so you don't know which version is real or accurate about what happened in the world war 2 because a lot of movie directors change events and make them different to sell tickets, but with band of brothers the men who went to the war speaks to you and tell you there REAL story "there is picture in picture mode where you can watch the movie and small screen like 1/4 of the TV pop and the Real people who was at the event speaks and its optional"

Band of brothers is a masterpiece its Story,Characters,Script, Events,Sound is too good plus its very emotional story.... i don't know where to start about this series it just blow my mind from its goodness

I hope this review was helpful to you

Joss Whedon's Brilliance = An Uber-Awesome Show! 5 out of 5 stars.
4 of 27 people found this review helpful.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my comfort food. When everything was going wrong I simply turned to the world of Buffy. On bad days, good days, even boring days, I can find myself selecting an episode that I could relate to at the moment and just dive in. The show never ceases to put a smile on my face and brighten my day. Buffy is at the heart of any teenager or even grown up who can look back on their life and say "hey I remember how that felt". While it won't be an instant winner for every person like it was for me, the show still has life lessons for everyone while throwing in a witty pun.

So do I recommend this for other people? Yes. Of course, I don't want people to simply take my opinion and spend big bucks on a complete collection of a show they are skeptical of. Instead I hope for those of you who don't know much about the show that you find a place that will let you rent the first two seasons (or borrow from a friend you know that has it). You can usually decide whether you like it or not by the end of season two (NOTE: season one is not that developed and only lasts 12 episodes, while season two has 22 episodes in which the character development is much more in depth) . While it is nice to view the entire series before buying this collection, which may take some time (due to that fact that there are seven season and a whopping 144 total episodes) but if you find yourself hooked from the start it might not be a bad idea. The chosen collection comes with all 144 episodes (each looking like the original disc found the complete season boxed sets) and it comes with a bonus special feature disc. This collection is very compact so it takes up less space than if you were to buy the original complete season boxed sets (not the slim set versions)

Now for those of you who are already Buffy fans:

1. This is the perfect set, all in one Buffy DVD buy. If you don't own the other releases already I totally recommend this. If you already own the complete season sets this is not a necessary buy. The huge difference is the design and bonus disc.
2. However if you are like me and you find that your DVD collection is a little worn out (In my case I own the complete season boxed sets 1-7 and The Chosen Collection only because my older sets -for example most my season three discs - were scratched and some wouldn't play. So I purchased this item when it was at a gold box deal which was well worth it to watch those episodes again. For the ones not in need of a replacement it was nice knowing I have a back up)
3. If you are crazy and must own everything...you might have some obsession problems. Just kidding. It's your decision to buy all DVD's Buffy related. But seriously that could get pretty pricey...

Overall I find this to be the best show I have ever seen. And while I WISH everyone in the world would just appreciate Joss's brilliant creation, I can't (where's Anya when you need her. Lol) I hope those of you first timers will give it a chance because it really is a well deserving show. For many, you either Love it or Hate it. I hope this helps make your decision easier.

Happy Shopping

I love the Big Bang Theory, but seldom get a chance to watch it or tape the show. This was the first time I purchased a complete season of a television show...it was great, no commercials and I was able to get a handle on the characters as they developed. Looking forward to season 2.

Editorial Review:

University physicists Leonard and Sheldon know whether to use an integral or a differential to solve the area under a curve. But they don’t have a clue about girls. Or dating. Or clothes. Or parties. Or having fun. Or, basically, life. So when a pretty blonde named Penny moves in the apartment across the hall, the guys decide to get an education outside of the classroom. Boys, you have a lot to learn. With series creators Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (The Gilmore Girls) concocting the right mix of logic and lunacy and stars Johnny Galecki (Roseanne) and Jim Parsons (Judging Amy) turning geekdom into Phi Beta fun, The Big Bang Theory is big on laughs. And life.

Universal fumbles.... again. 4 out of 5 stars.
2 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I must start by saying that this is by far the best show on television... EVER. The bomb they drop on us at the end of season 4.0 is still resonating inside my head. I'm desperately looking forward to the conclusion of this series. While disappointed that the show is coming to an end, I'm happy to see the show go out on it's own terms and not drag on & on (see last two seasons of X Files). The character development by the writers along with engaging storylines and top notch special effects make this the best thing ever to come out of the idiot box.

The reason I don't give this 5 stars:
1. Why does Universal insist on releasing these discs right before the next season begins? If you want to refresh your memory before the season begins you have just a few days to cram all the previous episodes in.

2. I have bought every iteration of this series the day that they came out... until this year. I'm sick and tired of the studios dragging their feet on the High Definition releases of these great programs. I'm waiting for the BluRay versions. The HD transfer does exist... I've been catching a few episodes on UHD over the past year... so why wait and only release a DVD version of this series right now? Oh yeah... greed. In these tough times I just can't justify buying this season right now knowing that eventually there will be a Blu Ray version, thus requiring me to buy the shows AGAIN. I'm done playing that game....

I never received my order. I am in the process of trying to get a refund or, if at some point they would like to send my order, which was Bones, The second season, that would be great too. I emailed KIDSINAMERICA, the company my order is from, twice and they never responded. Thank you.

Loved It! 5 out of 5 stars.

The second season was great. I can't wait to get the third season. I wish I would have known about this series when it was on TV. And why isn't the third season out on DVD before the 4th season started on TV???

Bones-Season 2 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

So we finally made it to season 2 after all the slow episodes of character development, we finally get the reward of really fascinating episodes. Other than the episodes getting better the only thing to really mention is that in this season each DVD is only one sided unlike the season one that I bought...which by the way I like it better as only one sided. I don't know why, maybe it is because they put the nice pictures on the front of each DVD. Either way Bones is a great show, and I recommend this set, it comes in one box, that has an open edge, but there is one DVD case for every 2 DVDs. Hope everyone enjoys their set as much as I do mine.

Setting up the backbone of a great series 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Bones is a show that succeeds, and succeeds incredibly, because of its characters. The range and depth of this show's characters is not only well developed, it is continuous and makes us keep watching. We see the characters learn, evolve and change.

Season 1 establishes the working relationship between Seeley Booth and Temperance "Bones" Brennan. He is an FBI agent and she is a forensic anthropologist working for the Jeffersonian. Their partnership is not only unique, it is ... show would Booth put it?... Symbiotic. These two complement each other perfectly, each learning from the other and learning through their interactions. Booth is the jock, charming, intuitive guy and Bones is the rational, assertive, and yet, socially awkward brilliant scientist.

The rest of the team is composed of Jack Hodgins (the bug guy), Zack Eddy (Bones' assistant) and Angela Montenegro (Brennan's best friend). Their working and social interactions are back makes this show great.

Editorial Review:

David Boreanaz (Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) stars as F.B.I. Agent Seeley Booth, who teams up with forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) to solve some of the most baffling and bizarre crimes ever. Booth depends on clues from the living, witnesses and suspects, while Brennan gathers evidence from the dead, relying on her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the bones of the victims. Their different investigative styles cause the two to frequently clash, creating an undeniable chemistry and just the right touch of dark humor. Inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs and state-of-the-art criminal investigation procedures, Bones is a compelling, cutting edge television.

A Disappointing Follow-Up To Season 1 2 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Aaron McGruder's thinly veiled self hate from Season 1 has devolved into a full-blown call for self destruction here in Season 2. The insightfulness and humor that made the first season so funny are gone, replaced by harsh invective and boundary-pushing for the sake of seeing how much the producers can get away with.

The first season of Boondocks was freer and smarter than the strip and slowly won me over. I looked forward to Season 2, but after watching it am sorely disappointed in the wasted potential. There are a few funny moments spread throughout these three discs, but they don't make up for the rest of the garbage on display. And the social criticism is all but gone.

The stand out episode of this collection is "Invasion of the Katrinians," a well played, funny, accurate appraisal of the fall out from Hurricane Katrina. In this episode Granddad and the boys take in some extended family from New Orleans. This one episode lampoons everything from bleeding heart do gooders to the misinterpreting media to the so called "victims" who might not be above a little opportunism in the face of tragedy.

Unfortunately, the rest of the episodes are typified by "The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show," an episode which looks like it actually mirrors the producers' motivations. In it, BET and a stand-in for Reginald Hudlin (President of Entertainment for BET and executive producer of the Boondocks) seek to air a television series so vile and destructive to the African-American image that it actually hastens the destruction of Blacks in America. Sadly, the plot line for this episode doesn't seem to be too far away from the reality of the Boondocks: Season 2.

Editorial Review:

Popular Adult Swim show on Cartoon Network! Based on Aaron McGruder's comic strip which was distributed in 350 newspapers nationwide. Granddad sneaks the boys into the movies to be cheap. Sarah's obsession with Usher after meeting him threatens her relationship with Tom. Riley and Granddad refuse to talk with cops about two local thieves, even after Granddad's car is stolen. Stinkmeaner's spirit possesses Tom and he tries to get revenge on Granddad. Riley joins the basketball team, and the boys fight over who will be boss while Granddad's on vacation.

The most intellectual series on Television. I have all for seasons and look forwad to the Fifth and last. It will be great to show my grandchildren what good tv was on 2005-2009!

Hilarious 5 out of 5 stars.

Equally good as previous seasons. Hilarious with a witty humor that addresses many contemporary issues in society and politics.

A Pleasant Surprise 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I didn't get to see most of these shows when they were originally broadcast, and I had wondered if the series was beginning to wear out, but no, when I did finally get the time to work my way through this fourth season I was pleasantly surprised. The wackiness was still there, and the pointed topics were still as sharp as ever. The Supreme Court episode was so clearly the manifestation of what David E. Kelley would like to say to the Court if he ever had the chance - which was pretty much what I would like to say to the Court. Outrageous, but right on target, like so many of B.L.'s episodes. I am constantly amazed at how William Shatner's character is developing over time, and Shatner's acting is wonderful. He says more with his facial expressions than many actors can say with their voices. He's come a long way from Star Trek days. While there have been some great woman characters on the show, IMO there still hasn't been a woman character who stands equal to Denny Crane or Alan Shore. Even Candace Bergan's character hasn't been written to the depth and strength of the others. But even so, this show remains one of my favorites and I have watched the DVD's through several times and haven't tired of it yet.

Editorial Review:

The quirky characters at Crane, Poole and Schmidt are at it again, bringing the most outrageous and often times improbable cases to court.
