This movie is fun to watch, the charters are as spirited as ever, but the storyline and some of the gags are a bit tired. Still worth checking out if your a fan of the show.

Hi MST3000 fans,

Volume2 of MST3000 is not bad at all.
Of the set, the shorts volume 1 is my absolute favorite. Its nothing short of brilliant.
The other three titles in the set are reasonable.
Pod People stands out as the absolute stinker of the three full lenght features.
Of course this makes for excellent MST material ;-)

Finally, a Volume with solely excellent episodes! Why can't Rhino do this all the time?

Angel's Revenge is beyond awesome. The plot (har har) revolves around five retarded bimbos who are attempting to be cool and teach kids not to do drugs (although it's mostly about the female stars' curves and low necklines). There's a horrible disco song, a drug dealer who can't stand up to a middle-school child, and two wonderfully embarrassing scenes with Jim Backus. This is only a drop in the bucket; this film is full of sinking stars, horrible music, retarded dialogue, Hanna-Barbera sound effects, and debatable messages. The riffs seem effortless (watch out for "Sweet tarts!" and "These people would riot for KC and the Sunshine Band!"). Even if all the episodes in this volume sucked, I would recommend it on the virtue of this movie alone.

Cave Dwellers is "faaaaabulous!" I'd tell you what the plot was, but I still don't know what it is and I've watched it over and over for the last eight years. Okay, okay, I guess there's your basic "kill the nasty man" plot... but there's so much more! Join Ator, the only man brave enough to wear moon boots (and little else) on an epic adventure to save some dull old man and his rearview mirror. Witness the epic battles between buff Ator and a giant velour snake puppet! Marvel at Thong's power to catch fish! Cringe in fear at the weird relationship between Dull Old Man and his daughter! And don't forget Thong turning into an owl and back real fast, the growling snakes, a hang-glider built in five minutes, and an uplifting song by Tom Servo about the wonders of flying with Ator.

Pod People may be retarded, but it's also going to be one of the episodes you'll find yourself watching over and over. This film seems patched together from random films; its credits feature footage from some other movie that turns out to be completely unrelated to the rest of the movie. Good luck trying to make sense of it the first time you watch it; it tries to bring four different stories together while throwing random pictures of deer into the mix. To lighten things up, there's a garbledygook song sung by the protagonists. (Thankfully, most of them die.) The aliens are adorable little furry Snuffleupagus people, one of whom kills everyone he touches (no doubt for the kicks). The best part of this movie is the kid with his distressing girly-voice and the magical Trumpy bedroom scene. Watch for the "magical" host segment featuring flying bots and a possessed banana.

Admittedly, the shorts are a letdown for me. The best ones are "Body Care and Grooming," "Cheating," and "A Date with Your Family." The others are snooze-fests. I don't recommend watching them all in a row -- the most boring ones are also the longest, and drag the whole collection down.

Don't let that turn you off; 90% of this collection is absolutely golden. It's also a great way to introduce people to MST3k. What are you waiting for? Snap it up now!

Really love these british comedys they are great if you enjoy great humor and even if u need good laughs they are just fun to watch over and over sometimes im very glad i ordered them and they came on time great delivery and packaging as well....fantastic. So, the who are not kids anymore, but they're still alright.
I've been a fan of the Who since I first heard "Happy Jack" way back when. I remember buying the single and playing the grooves off of it.
This turned me on to one of the greatest rock bands in history, and I never lost my enthusiasm. I'm glad this two DVD set came out, and I'm glad it revealed the ups and downs the band has had over thier long career.
Glad because it shows the Who as a bunch of human beings with all the faults and shortcomings of any human being. But, it also shows them in thier glory, as the greatest rock band you could ever imagine. The sheer power and brute force of the Who is shown, as well as the tender side.
The recording session for "Real Good Looking Boy" is excellent stuff.
By the way, Zak Starkey looks just like his dad, even if his drumming style is different. And seeing the great Greg Lake on bass was a real treat! Anyhow, this is great stuff, this DVD, and if you're a Who fan you should get it. If you're a Who fan, you already know most of it anyway, but you should still get it.

Really what more can be said about Andy Griffith!! Its great... it has been on TV for over 40 years & is still showing. Season 5 is the last season of the black & whites (which are my favorites). Timeless classic show that entertains you always! I can watch Andy over & over and not get bored!!

Just as everyone here has said, this is a great series. However, I cannot believe that anyone would pay $130.00 for series 1 when it's available from Movies Unlimited for about half the cost. My advice to everyone: always shop around for a better price before depending on Amazon.com

My wife fell in love with this series through an English friend. It evokes feelings of living the simple life by simple means, where relationships and life have meaning. Great family viewing with tradition, manners, and well-spoken English

Anyone who is a fan of James Herriot will enjoy seeing him and his fellow vets brought to life. All the best parts of the books are here -- the animals, the dales, and of course the hilarious personalities. I noticed that James didn't spend as much time falling down drunk in the series as he did in the books, nor were there as many coy references to his colleagues' constant womanizing. Those aren't *necessary* to make a good show, but I thought they added something and I was sorry to see them go.

AFV is one of our favorite toys each Sunday evening. So we decided to get this CD for long car rides. The clips are funny as always but what we all agreed on is that the panel discussion kills the rythm of the show. It does take them a while to begin to play off each other and Tom does a good job to keep them moving - but that's the point: it should look like so much work! And it shouldn't again be about winning another set of money - it should be more about the clips. Had I previewed this CD I don't think I would have bought it.

I am not sure what people are whining about...nostalgia for the way it was on TV? The issuing of a remastered set, in chronological order, sans Old Indy bookends is a great way to get into the whole sweep of this gigantic Indiana Jones prequel. In point of fact, the continuity of the series is much improved over the TV originals now and the overall editing, is excellent, as is the quality of the picture.

The historical documentaries, based on the famous characters Indy meets in his adventures as well as overall historical documentaries are of such high quality that the History Channel has licensed the bulk of them to run on it's programming. If you tried to buy this material separately, it would run the price of the entire series minus the dramatic episodes! Yes, the list pricing is a bit steep, but you can find discounted copies here on Amazon and also at DeepDiscount as well as used copies here on Amazon.

This was a spectacularly superior show. Superb casting, writing, and direction: Watching it was reliving my childhood days in the tumultous '60s exactly all over again. OK, they took a few liberties with some of the music, chronological datewise, but they were very close. But the pervasive atmosphere, social mores, and superb use of cameo TV show spots and pop songs (a surprising number the actual hit versions rather than redos) make this as close to how it really was back then as you'll ever get. With 80% of today's public feeling that America is on the wrong track, this show provides a refreshing glimpse at a time when a troubled America was on the RIGHT track! I would highly recommend this DVD. WHERE ARE SEASONS 2 AND 3 ON DVD???

Ok, I won't relist all of the discriptions again or tell you about the show, see all the other reviews ... all I will say is this is an amazingly good show. I never saw it when it originally aired, but decided to buy it on DVD and take a chance, and for the most part I'm glad that I did... my only warning is = I never saw season 2 and 3 and now I have been left waiting for years with what looks like no hope in sight of ever seeing the other two seasons. So if you have never seen this show, you might want to pass, or you'll get hooked on something great and may never get to see the rest...

Don't see why many miss the George Hall bookends - this re-edited series is amazing! 4 out of 5 stars.

Why four out of five stars? Simply put, I paid a lot of money - these are pricey! (Definitely angry at the fact that the price dropped about $20 a week after I finally got around buying these...). All this aside, I absolutely love this series - I'm a huge Indy fan. Although some say the packaging is cheap (I disagree - really it's not that bad - any of you own the Sex and the City DVDs - that's cheap). There's 8 episodes (all about 2 hours long), loads of bonus features - for those history buffs -, plus an interactive 9th disk with the time line and game. I know many fans of the original are disappointed because of the new editing - they try to follow a more chronological order of Indy's life (which means that the beginning of some episodes with Corey Carrier have been completely revamped) and more notably the missing original entrance theme with the George Hall (old Indy) bookends. Honestly, I think the editing is great. Besides, I always fast forward the George Hall part (do your really think Indy would have turned out like him anyways?). Overall, (to wrap things up) this was a great buy and I'm very happy with my DVDs! Love the show!
