Amazing show, immensely entertaining! 5 out of 5 stars.

I stumbled on an episode of this show and have been hooked ever since. The characters are down to earth and loyal to each other, which is not something you see in the drama-filled reality series that television is so fond of lately. I have bought all three seasons and am patiently waiting for season 4 to come out on DVD and season 5 to start! It's an addiction, but a healthy one:).

love it!!!! 5 out of 5 stars.

Entourage is great! I love it, never a dull moment and Salone....ah Salone...don't be a cheap skate, BUY IT!

good but disappointing 3 out of 5 stars.

just another attempt to leave you hanging. I am the only one that thinks it shouldn't take three years to put the DVD out?

As good as season 2 5 out of 5 stars.

Season 3 part 2 is awesome. I had season 1 and 2, so decided to buy the missing ones. Season 3 part 1 kind of let me down as it was not nearly as witty as season 2, which left me on a high note. Luckily Season 3 part 2 (effectively season 4) is as good as season 2. Ari Gold, who is really the center piece of this series has some great lines, the rest of the characters grow in their own areas and start having personalities of their own which makes the series that more enjoyable. This is a great buy and will leave you craving for season 4.

Editorial Review:

Sure it would be great to have it all, but at what price? For Vince, Eric, Drama and Turtle, life in Hollywood's fast lane isn't without its road bumps, as we learned when a botched deal cost Ari, Vince's longtime agent, his job. Will change at the top make the difference in getting Vince his dream picture - or will the boys regret giving Ari the ax?

Chuck -- the funniest and best show on television 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

This is a box set for everybody into computers, computer nerds, or work in retail computer stores. Before I bought the boxed set, I had only seen a few episodes, since I go to school at night (but a show about computer nerds, you know it has got to be Bill Gates favorite show!), and was so intrigued, I thought it better to see from the beginning. To watch the episodes back to back, you see the continuity and you realize why Adam Baldwin became such a huge hit (after making My Bodguard)and you see that every character lives in their own world. A funny, funny scene to watch for (2nd episode?) is when they are on a stakeout in a huge Cadillac Escalade (so much for being hidden), and Chuck orders takeout to be delivered to the stakeout car. Funny, Funny, Funny.

The last great TV show 5 out of 5 stars.

Too many intelligent shows that require thinking on the part of the viewer fall by the wayside these days. Veronica Mars, Firefly, The Black Donnellys come to mind...
Chuck is the saving grace of television and really the only reason I watch any regular network television at all. The writing is clever but not overly so, the casting is EXCELLENT, the humor is funny without being crude and the awesome pop culture references abound. There is sexual tension between the leads that is killing me. It has been so long since I had a show to look forward to...(The best thing is that there is a script and no voting by audience or judges)

I ordered this almost a month ago and I still haven't recieved it and I have tried to communicate with the seller and they haven't answered me.

Best first season of any series. 4 out of 5 stars.

I loved this show on broadcast, and I love it more on DVD. I could mention that it could use more DVD-exclusive content and special features, I do love commentary tracks. But, this is a minor issue by comparison. This is, bar none, the best opening season for any television series. Perhaps the second season wasn't all that it could be, and the third season is almost up to standards, but those are separate concerns. Here's the bottom line: Get this DVD collection. Get it and see what I mean. It is genius, from start to finish.

Good to have the complete season 5 out of 5 stars.

The Unit is my husband's favorite show, but since the third season was so chopped up because of the writer's strike it was difficult to follow the story. It's great to have access to it like this, my husband should enjoy his Christmas present.

Great half season, would be better if there's no strike. 5 out of 5 stars.

This season has a very strong start. Due to the writer's guild on strike, this season never finish the way it supposed to be. It really happen to many other shows not particular this one.

I see overall video clarity improvement in this season. Check out my other reviews in Season 1 and 2.

Bottom line is you still get a great half season of drama.

top notch 5 out of 5 stars.

Everyone's Favorite Obsessive-Compulsive Detective Returns to the Scene of the Crime for an Awesome 6th Season! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

This is by far one of the best seasons of this incredibly awesome series to date! Adrian Monk (Tony Shaloub) continues to use his Sherlock Holmes-like abilities to solve interesting and often complex murder cases. His sharp eyes for detail and his deductive reasoning still continue to intrique his colleagues, his beautiful and long-suffering assistant, Natalie Teeger (Traylor Howard), the straight-laced Captain Leland Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), and the always eager-to-please Lieutenant Randy Disher (Jason-Gray Stanford).

As the season opens, we see the defective detective being pursued once again by his overly-obsessed fan, Marci Maven (special guest star Sarah Silverman). This time, she needs Adrian's help in clearing her dog of a murder charge. Next, special guest star Snoop Dogg potrays a successful rap artist who needs Monk's help in clearing his name after he is accussed of killing a rival. As the season progresses, we continue to get an array of interesting mysteries, which include a murder at a nude beach, a shot Santa Claus, a possibly murderous girlfriend, and a cult that has more going than they let on. The season ends with the best season finale for this show and two of the best episodes ever! In this 2 parter, Monk is accussed of a murder and must quickly find the evidence that will prove his innonce. Ever since I got into this series, I had hoped for an episode like this. It's a beautiful mix of comedy, drama, and suspense, as the entire series has been.

By now, all of you Monk fans probably know that next season, the 8th overall, will be the last one. I will surely miss "Monk" when it is over. It is one of the best shows to come on television in a while. For all Monk fans out there, owning Season 6 is a must (along with all the other seasons). For those who have not yet discovered the show, this is a good place to start. Yes, I know its late in the series, but you can always catch up. Plus, each episode is pretty much independent, with a couple of exceptions. Here is a listing of all 16 episodes in this season, with a brief synopsis:

1. Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan: Monk and Natalie agree to help his overly-obsessed fan, Marci Maven (Sarah Silverman) clear her deceased dog of a murder charge.

2. Mr. Monk and the Rapper: Monk unwittingly agrees to help a sucessful rap artist (Snoop Dogg) clear his name in the murder of a rival rapper.

3. Mr. Monk and the Naked Man: Monk shudders at the thought of investigating a murder at a nude beach. Even though the man couldn't have done it, Monk's suspect is one of the regular nudists at the beach, and Natalie and Stottlemeyer try to help him see otherwise and help him get over his prejudice against nudists. Alfred Molina guest stars.

4. Mr. Monk and the Bad Girlfriend: Monk's friendship with Captain Stottlemeyer is put to the ultimate test when he acusses his girlfriend (Sharon Lawrence) of murder.

5. Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees: Monk must prove a sports agent is guilty of murder and help Natalie's teenage daughter, Julie (Emmy Clarke) with her love life.

6. Mr. Monk and the Buried Treasure: Monk and Natalie find themselves on quite an interesting outing when they help Dr. Kroeger's (Stanley Kamel) son, Troy, follow a treasure map.

7. Mr. Monk and the Daredevil: When Monk's rival, Harold Krenshaw (Tim Bagely) is revealed to be the famous Frisco Fly, Monk is consumed with envy.

8. Mr. Monk and the Wrong Man: When a man he put away years ago is cleared by a new DNA test, Monk is consumed with guilt and tries to help him rebuild his life, until he realizes that maybe he was never wrong in the first place.

9. Mr. Monk Stays Up All Night: When he can't seem to sleep, Monk takes a walk around San Francisco one night and witnesses a murder. Stottlemeyer and Disher believe his insonmia has gotten the better of him, but Monk is determined to prove otherwise.

10. Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa: Monk becomes a social outcast after being acussed of shooting a seemingly harmless Santa Claus passing down stuffed teddy bears to kids from a roof. Can Monk prove what really happened on that roof in time for Christmas?

11. Mr. Monk Goes to the Bank: After Monk's safety deposit box is robbed,
he goes undercover as a security guard there to solve the case.

12. Mr. Monk and the Three Julies: Natalie is horrified when a rash of murders plague San Francisco that all involve women with the same name as her teenage daughter.

13. Mr. Monk Joins a Cult: Monk infiltrates a cult to solve a homicide, but ends up falling under their spell. Howie Mandell guest stars.

14. Mr. Monk Paints His Masterpiece: Monk learns that the world of art can be deadly after taking up painting as a hobby.

15. Mr. Monk Is on the Run, Part I: The first of this exciting 2 part season finale. Monk finally confronts the elusive six-fingered man he has been searching for, but he is soon murdered. A small town sheriff (Scott Glenn) arrives on the scene, acuesses Monk of being the triggerman and arrests him for murder. After escaping custody, Monk becomes a fugitive on the lamb.

16. Mr. Monk Is on the Run, Part II: While everyon mourns Monk's apparent "death", Monk works quickly with Stottlemeyer, Natalie, and Disher to uncover the truth that will clear his name. Natalie finally meets Monk's old archnemisis, Dale "The Whale" Biederbeck (Ray Porter).

First, I was very pleased with the very fast shipping from Amazon. I live in Canada and my estimated delivery date was about 3-4 weeks after I purchased. Much to my surprise, the videos came in less than 2 weeks.

The videos themselves are very nice quality with good-looking menus and bonus features. Each season comes in well-designed cases.

I would recommend this amazing value to any Boston Legal fan!

Vinnie and the Boys...take 1 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

This is clever, sexy, and overall very, very addicting!!! I loved this show from the first episode. This is a guilty pleasure that all guys should take in. There's hot woman, plenty of herbal indulgence, and all the drinks you can kick back.
Adrian Grenier is Vincent Chase, a up and coming actor who's keeping it old school with his loyalty to his friends and brother, taking them along for the rollercoaster ride that is his acting career. Every girl seemingly is charmed by Vince...his life is right out of a bachelors fairytale! Let your mind wander freely...
I can't make up my mind who my favorite character is but "E" is 1 of 2 characters I love. Kevin Connelly plays Eric, Vince's best friend turned manager...He doesn't put up with with anybody's crap, hard nosed and hopelessly destined to fall in love with whoever he talks to for more than a week..."E" keeps it real thru the whole fantasy world of Entourage with probably the most believable of the characters( you can see K.C. getting decked by Stallones boy in Rocky 5)"E" evolves into Vinces manger as the series evolves...
Kevin Dillon is the ever annoying Johnny "Drama", Vinces half brother who is always looking to snag Vince's coat tails to keep his "B" level acting career going...he's a trip conming equipped with the most quirky personality on the show...he knows no shame and is officially the cook for the crew...
Jerry Ferrara, who palys the role of "Turtle", the mooch of tag a long...but he is about as cool as anyone can be in this role!!! Always looking for the angle to get hooked up on Vinces Celebrity status, Turtle is the wise cracking side kick type who adds the smart a@@ banter that keeps you laughing and keeps you watching...he is officially Vince's Driver...I'd love that job!!!
Ari Gold is my other favorite character played to a tee by Jeremy Piven...he so often type casted as the nerdy sidekick or villan as he was in "Old School" but not anymore...Piven has broken that cycle playing Vinces "ULTRA CRASS" agent. Ari is always in the mix of the main plot, trying to get the big pay day for Vince in the form of his first breakout movie role. I love Ari...he's hard to stomach but then at times so am I...birds of a feather i guess???!
This 1st series is funny and grabs a hold of you in anticipation for season 2...

Simpson's: Still the Stuff of Silliness 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Season ten was an historic season of the Simpsons. Granted, I like many other reviewers here, think season 9 was better, some might say, the best.

However, season ten had many important things, such as the last Phil Hartman episode (forever a sad day in Simpsons, Newsradio, comedy, etc). Also guest stars included the voices of Lisa Kudrow, Regis Philbin, Kathie Lee Gifford, Jerry Springer, Ed McMahon, Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, George Carlin, Mark Hamill, The Moody Blues, Cyndi Lauper, John Madden, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, Pat Summerall, Roosevelt Grier, Fred Willard, Dolly Parton, Rupert Murdoch, Yo La Tengo, Elton John, Hank Williams, Jr., Jasper Johns, Isabella Rossellini, Jack La Lanne, Stephen Hawking, and George Takei.

Episodes such as Hell Toupee (classic), D'Oh in the Wind (just watch it), Mayored to the mob(luke, be a jedi tonight), Homer to the Max (one of my top 5 fave episodes ever), and Simpsons over Tokyo (my favorite from this season) all combine to make for a solid Simpsons experience.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in comedy, the Simpsons, or as a gift to someone who does. A very funny show, still in its prime/early-early decline. DEFINITELY worth the time and expense.

Thanks

Just adding another voice to the cheers 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

THE HOMECOMING was probably the first Christmas movie, apart from A Charlie Brown Christmas, that I can recall watching as a child. For nostalgia alone, I love this movie, but watching it as an adult, I am always struck by the depth of Patricia Neal's performance as Olivia Walton, and Richard Thomas as John Boy. Also, I always loved Cleavon Little as Rev. Hawthorne Dooley (he died far too young).

The only thing that ever bothered me about the movie is the hairstyles --the younger boys' are a little too 1970's. Aside from that, I think the producers really caught something of the Depression era.

This is a classic Christmas story, and a classic television presentation -- the kind of television that should be made, but just isn't anymore. Just compare THE HOMECOMING with something of recent Christmas vintage, like, Drake & Josh's Christmas movie on Nickelodeon, and you will see how far standards have fallen. If producers would only concentrate on quality productions instead of fads and giving airtime to teenybopper stars, we wouldn't all have to rely on DVDs so much!

Editorial Review:

The Waltons' Love and Courage Face a Difficult Test. Patricia Neal, Richard Thomas, Edgar Bergen and Cleavon Little star in this award-winning drama that inspired the long-running, vastly popular TV series, "The Waltons." Set on a Depression Christmas Eve in 1933, this heart-tugging story centers around the Waltons. They're a rural American family preparing to celebrate Christmas together. Though times are tough, love and sharing are abundant in this family. An inspiring tale of love, hope and spirit, this deeply moving story goes far beyond the boundaries of time and place to reach out and touch everyone, everywhere.
