Consider purchasing separately... 3 out of 5 stars.

Season one is selling for under ten right now, and two and three are just a few dollars more. I love this series and plan to purchase every season, but I'm puzzled why this bundle costs so much more than the sum of its parts.

awesome buy! 5 out of 5 stars.

Bawk-bawk-WOW!! 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Indeed, that is what you will say, if you've never seen Robot Chicken before. On the surface, each episode seems like crudely done stop motion animation--but delve a little deeper. The real magic is in the tightly written (and gloriously gloriously violent!!) episodes that revel in the non-sequitor and the from way way out of left field references you may pick up on. A typical episode has two main running stories that last about 3-5 minutes with a veritable crapload of Laugh-In style gags thrown in. If you are expecting high-brow humor, it will be there, but this show is more akin to the Family Guy with jokes that run the gamit of being surreal and obscure to very crude (fart/vomit/and sex scenes abound). Although I'm not partial to fart jokes, there is a really good skit about what happens when Mikey gets ahold of a pop rocks and soda. My favorite skits: The Great Pumpkin Skit--Linus's reaction shot after he conjures his pumpkin has to be seen to be believed! The Smurf murder mystery--complete with all those annoying Smurfin' references The Bloopers--these can get very out of control! As for extras, each episode has a commentary track to it. In fact, my advice is to watch two or three episodes one day and then watch them again the next day with the commentary playing. It's not exactly revelatory, but Seth and Matt should get their kudos for giving each episode (all 20 of them!) their personal attention. The Pros for this set: deleted scenes for many of the skits, uncensored puppet violence, and a very reasonable price tag (I paid $13 and it was worth every cent!) The Cons: the commentary tracks tend to ramble and not make much sense sometimes; the worst: the censored dialogue--I don't know if the bleeping was intended by Seth and Matt, but I was expecting an uncensored version like what Family Guy gives you: I mean, come one, it would have been worth it to hear Pokemon really going off.....

Editorial Review:

Old-school stop-motion animation and fast-paced satire are the hallmarks of this eclectic show created by Seth Green and Matt Senreich. Action figures find new life as players in frenetic sketch-comedy vignettes that skewer TV, movies, music and celebrity. It's television especially formulated for the Attention Deficit Disorder generation.

Very proactive! 5 out of 5 stars.

My DVD did not arrive in the window of time that Amazon estimated so I emailed the sender who was very proactive in finding out why the DVD had not arrived. It turns out that the package simply got boomeranged back and fourth across the country a few times before it reached me (gotta love the US Postal Service). Of course, this was at no fault of the sender, who was very friendly and willing to help fix the problem!

Sencillamente GENIAL.... 5 out of 5 stars.

D'oh! I love the Season 8! 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Yeah, its great. When I first got it, it was because it had two episodes I had seen on the plane home from England to Los Angeles to New Zealand. I resulted in watching the episodes that included Bart meeting his mad Siamese twin who is intent on sewing them together again, Homer causes a new person at his work to go mad and electrocute himself while saying "What's this? Extremely high voltage? Well, I don't need safety gloves, because I'm Homer Simp-", Milhouse's parents divorce, and so on. There are great songs in this such as "The Spring in Springfield", "Happy Just the Way We Are" and "Minimum Wage Nanny". I especially like the episode when Ned Flanders yells at Springfield and says a whole lot of mean things. He yells at Marge that her family's out of control, he gets mad at Bart, he says Lisa interrupts all the time, he says Krusty the Klown isn't funny.

Damages Keeps Us On The Edge Of Our Seats 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

We can't wait for the new season of Damages. It has plenty of plot twists and turns to keep you guessing. The acting is excellent. Everything about it is first class.

The show that makes every other show on TV look pathetic.... 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

If you're reading this you may already be leaning toward buying this show, if you are, BUY THIS SHOW! If you're still on the fence, BUY THIS SHOW! If you have no interest in legal thrillers whatsoever I still say, BUY THIS SHOW!!! I'm serious. DAMAGES show blows all the other shows on TV now (cable or network) out of the water. I was a huge fan of THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS, SIX FEET UNDER, BATTLESTAR, and this is like those others is top shelf calibre entertainment.
The writing is sharp, agressive and the dialogue is performed with power rarely found in TV. And I have to say it's nice to finally have a show that seems to play with the viewer's expectations in the same loving way that the Sopranos did - it will keep you guessing constantly. You have no idea who is a good guy or bad guy, or who is in control or not. A show like this takes a lot of planning and doesn't come off as fly-by storytelling. The structure is so tight and emotional that I think this is not only the best "legal thriller" TV show but it's the best legal thriller ever made.
....and it NEVER TAKES PLACE IN A COURTROOM!!!! Amazing.

The blu-ray version is well worth the investment. The image and sound are miraculous! Watching this show on blu-ray makes me want to run out and buy every Blu-ray TV show available...but I have to control myself because I'm sure the Sarah Conner Chronicals doesn't even come close.

Glen Close's face pops off the screen and cuts you deep. I mean, to be this up-"close" and personal to such a genius at work is an honor - she earned that Emmy three times over. Ted Danson also is utterly watchable the way he was when he was back on CHEERS - and watching DAMAGES I would smile and remember, "That's right! I remember, Ted Danson is cool!"

Rose Byrne is a hot new talent. Gorgeous as she is brilliant. And Zeljko Ivanek deserves his Emmy too.

My only gripe was that the first season had to end (even though it's cliffhanger made me stand up on my couch and WHOOP with glee!) In contrast, PRISON BREAK'S season 1 was captivating but gets messy and long-winded, this first season is shorter (13 episodes) sleeker, and it's quality after all not quantity that matters. Some of the other supporting performances are weaker than the ENORMOUS Emmy performances you'll get on the show, but, hey...it's all good.

Editorial Review:

Hot new legal thriller on FX! Set in New York's world of high stakes litigation, Damages follows the lives of Patty Hewes, the nation's most revered and most reviled litigator, and her bright, ambitious protégée Ellen Parsons as they become embroiled in a class action lawsuit targeting Arthur Frobisher, one of the country's wealthiest CEOs. As Patty battles Frobisher and his attorney, Ellen learns what it takes to win at all costs, and that lives, not just fortunes, are at stake.

Bones-Season 2 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

So we finally made it to season 2 after all the slow episodes of character development, we finally get the reward of really fascinating episodes. Other than the episodes getting better the only thing to really mention is that in this season each DVD is only one sided unlike the season one that I bought...which by the way I like it better as only one sided. I don't know why, maybe it is because they put the nice pictures on the front of each DVD. Either way Bones is a great show, and I recommend this set, it comes in one box, that has an open edge, but there is one DVD case for every 2 DVDs. Hope everyone enjoys their set as much as I do mine.

Excellent 5 out of 5 stars.

I love this series! Although I was turned onto it in the fourth season, I am frantically catching up on all of the characters. I love Tempe and watching her character grow from the nerdy scientist to a good friend and investigator is a lot of fun. I enjoy the dynamics between all of the characters and look forward to many more episodes. I especially appreciate how the writers have added a personal side to the show so it isn't all about the case they are working on.

Great political series, great season 5 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

This was one of the best TV series ever. If you like comedy, politics, and drama, you should check this out. I have the entire series on DVD and I cannot tell you how many times I've watched it. This series has massive replayability so it's worth the buy. It is also not "dumbed down" so they deal with a lot of hot-button topics and you can actually learn a little of how the government actually works and how cutthroat life is like in Washington, D.C.

The first few seasons and the last two seasons are the best. There are a good deal of special features and this season was amazing. It has a liberal bent so if you are conservative you may not like this show as much as someone who is more liberal. That said, I still high recommend this series and this first season to anyone and everyone.

It works! 5 out of 5 stars.

I bought this video as a last resort to help my daughter potty train. She was almost three and wouldn't poop on the potty only pee. After seeing this video and the candid way the characters were talking about it she decided to give it a try. The next day we were done with diapers. Elmo's Father has a part in the video and sings a hysterical song about going to the bathroom. I watched it with my daughter and we both were laughing out loud. I totally recommend this video.

At their peak? 5 out of 5 stars.

Perhaps the Stooges in their finest shorts. The two Nazi parodies are worth the price alone. Curly is in top form, not showing any of the signs of his heart sickness that later shorts will document. Every sight/sound gag in their repertoire is on display: the fully realized Stooges "concept," if you will.

As with the previous two releases, the sound and image quality, so sorely lacking for so many years, is razor sharp. The collection looks to have been imported from original negatives, they are so good.

Mammy 5 out of 5 stars.

One of the all-time best routines is when the boys sing Mammy in "All the World's a Stooge". Also in this short is Curly's recitation of "Little Fly Upon the Wall". Pure genius.
