I absolutely love this show. As soon as I heard the theme song I fell in love and just had to watch it as often as possible. The characters are hilarious, adorable and very fun to watch. The music is awesome, especially the theme song and "get up and go." I've never heard such wonderful get up and go music in a kids' show. I think it's the best part of the show. Once I get one of those songs in my head I can't get it out and I end up singing it all day. And I love it. The DVDs are really worth buying. I'm glad I bought them. I tried taping the show, but the picture isn't as great as the DVD. No matter what mood I'm in, when I come home and watch the DVD I feel so happy and energized that I just can't keep smiling and want to run outside and do something adventurous. This has to be one of the best kids' shows if not one of the best TV shows in general I've seen in a long time.
Can't live without it 5 out of 5 stars.

My daughter is 11 months old and has LOVED It's a big big world since she was just a few months old. We own evey dvd. The things I love about the dvd are: It starts playing on its own so all you have to do is put it in the dvd player, the dvd has several episodes each with at least two songs each, there is a play songs only option in the menu, after the dvd is finished playing it starts again without prompting, it teaches children about nature. There is nothing bad I would say about this dvd except I know just about every word by memory now.

I was disappointed with the dvd because the actual tv show plays 3 regular songs througout each episode and the DVD cuts these songs out. I purchased the DVD for the sole reason of having these songs available because this is what my child enjoys.

This is a wonderful show for kids of all ages. My son is 15 months old. He loves music. This program has lots of great songs. I enjoy watching it with him and think it is a fun introduction to science for little ones. I have both of the DVDs available for purchase.

I am so glad they finally put these out on dvd, I have been looking for so long. My boys absolutely love this show. It is very educational, great show for kids.

Thesed DVDs are simply the best. They have great songs, great lessons and wonderful colors. My son (20 months) has loved Snook and the gang since he was 9 months and the love affair continues. I now have another little one who loves to watch with his big brother.

My 2-year-old LOVES this show, but when PBS in our area shifted the broadcast time, we couldn't watch it. The sale price on the videos made it easy and soon we had the whole gang at home. The songs are very catchy, and our son has most of them memorized. The plot conflicts are real, but very low-threat - not scary for toddlers, as some shows can be. The combination of puppetry and green-screen animation is seamless and visually spectacular, although the perpetually saturated colors can be a strain on the eyes after a while. I recommend equal parts of this show and outdoor play.

My daughter LOVES It's a Big Big World...she watches it day in and day out, which is why we NEEDED to get more than one of these DVDs. The Big Big Sleep is very cute and calming to her and sometimes it even helps her close her eyes for a nap, before waking up and watching it again! This DVD is adorable.

My son absolutely adores Snook, and the rest of his crew. I'm actually kind of fond of the big sleepy sloth myself. Great music, awesome lessons, and an original cast, what more could a parent or child hope for. I especially love the nature themed morals and lessons taught through this show. I'm not sure if this show still airs on PBS, we haven't seen it in a while, but I made sure to snag all of the DVD's.

How many of us grown ups know a Snook in our lives, or worse yet find they might just be one big sloth at the end of the day, my little sister cannot help but make the comparison and I am not sure how to take it yet there is something about It's a Big, Big World which has evidently inspired a young generation to take this show to heart, adopt it's ways and become environmentally friendly. I could be a mellow sloth, how great would it be but just to chill and sing sleepily all day. This dvd contains more favourites from the series and some songs we love to sing ... It seems like wherever I go

Bear in the Big Blue House was a defining children's show for a new generation of Henson fans and Mitchell Kriegman's new puppet piece embodies all the things I recall from my own childhood, a sense of good trumpeting over evil, with ideals greater and braver than merely the pursuit of ones self fulfilment but instead conveys the idea that we are all responsible for our world and eachother and presents a perception of the world which is compassionate and all embracing, these are great dvd's to show to the kids and they enjoy them as much as I, the songs are memorable and the stories and characters are instantly likeable, we sing the songs often.
