Brit humor at its best! 5 out of 5 stars.

I love all Brit comedy and this one was a definite "must have" for my dvd library. If you love raunchy comedy then this is one that you will need to be on your list, along with "Are You Being Served?". This show will leave you with sore cheeks from laughing (and possibly p**ing your pants, too!) but it is so worth it! If you are not familiar with Brit com, then maybe you should start with "Served", but this one should be next on your list.

Editorial Review:

Crack open a beer grab your remote control and gorge yourself on an extra-large helping of bad behavior British style. Whether making viewers chuckle or chunder Men Behaving Badly undeniably and unapologetically became the British sitcom of the 1990s rivaled perhaps only by Absolutely Fabulous. The antidote to the 1980s "caring and sharing" male Men Behaving Badly made boorish behavior into a cause celebre. Flatmates Gary and Tony are unabashedly self-centered rude and crude. They brag belch fart swear drink beer and fantasize about women with no shame. Here in this collection is every episode of the original British era-defining series ready to shock.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY UPC: 794051274724 Manufacturer No: E2747

British Men Behaving Badly- CLASSIC! 5 out of 5 stars.

My wife and I LOVE this British SitCom! Season Two- WOW! It is the Best! Warm and funny, really great! Tony and Gary (the two main characters) are about as "Guy" as you get! You feel touched by these characters even while you laugh at their lame brain antics! Dorothy and Deborah play the love intrests and outsmart the guys every time! The rest of the supporting cast is great also, full of wit and funny banter- It is a bit brash, slightly off-color, and VERY VERY FUNNY! London hilarity! All the characters are unforgetable and you will love each of them! You'll find yourself watching it over and over! AND- You'll find yourself saying "Classic" in no time! Thank You Warner Video for bringing us this wonderful english romp! Thank you Amazon for offering it! I will buy every season offered! 5 STARS EASY!

Gary (Martin Clunes) needs a renter to help pay the mortgage on his flat. Unfortunately neither of his renters seems to be able (or willing) to pay any rent. First there's Dermot (Harry Enfield) and then Tony (Neil Morrissey). Both of them 'get the hots' for Deborah (Leslie Ash) who owns the flat upstairs. Gary also has thoughts in that direction in spite of the fact that he has a regular girlfriend Dorothy (Caroline Quentin). Based on a Simon Nye novel of the same name published in 1989.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS UPC: 794051212221

The Weakest Series 3 out of 5 stars.

Harry Enfield doesn't really click in this. ITV made the right choice in essentially rebooting the show with Neil Morrissey. It's still pretty funny though but really you are better off starting with series 2.

Good Stuff 4 out of 5 stars.

The TV show that defined a decade in the UK. Vastly superior to the poor US remake. Some quality episodes here as the series finally gets going after the poorer episodes from series 1 and 2

Their back and acting more badly 4 out of 5 stars.

The cast are back together again and you can see that they are comfortable acting together. The series is starting to get a little more outrageous especially when Tony and Deborah begin their excerising together. Gary's relationship with Dorothy continues to grow even though Gary can't help himself with his new cleaner.

One of the best british sitcoms 5 out of 5 stars.

This is where men Behaving Badly hit it's stride in the fourth series. This series features a few episodes that really stand out for me. The episode Drunk has Gary and Tony getting very drunk and trying to get back into their house when Dorothy has locked them out. In another episode Gary looks after Dorothy when she's had an operation. I always wince in that episode and I can safely say that should I fall ill I don't want Gary within 100 feet of me! In the final episode of the series I always crack up when I see Tony trying to remove his tooth, personally I think this is one of the funniest parts of the whole series. Of course Tony still has problems and this will change how everyone sees each other.

Editorial Review:

Crack open a beer grab your remote control and gorge yourself on an extra-large helping of bad behavior British style. Flatmates Gary and Tony were an inspiration to a generation of British men. No self-help books or caring and sharing for them. In their world the '90s were a rude and crude pursuit of good times and sex. But the program inspired a generation of British women as well proving what they had always known: that inside all men were really overgrown children whose primary talent was the ability to rearrange their genitals in public.Running Time: 210 min.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS UPC: 794051240323 Manufacturer No: E2403

Editorial Review:

The pageant of boorishness and slobbery known as Men Behaving Badly launched itself upon an unsuspecting United Kingdom in 1992. Gary (Martin Clunes), the disgruntled manager of a security alarm company, struggles to break up with his long-suffering girlfriend Dorothy (Caroline Quentin) while competing with his aimless flatmate Dermot (Harry Enfield) for the attentions of their fetching new upstairs neighbor Deborah (Leslie Ash). The plots are built on contrivances like a chess match over opera tickets or an attempt at seduction via a synthesized flamenco guitar, but the humor always springs from the petty, careless, and generally inane behavior of Dermot and Gary. Gary persuades Dorothy to accept an open relationship, then becomes consumed with jealousy when she sees another man; Dermot tries to persuade Deborah to relieve their basic needs while her boyfriend is in Singapore. It could be tiresome squalor--and according to reviews, the American remake of the show (featuring Rob Schneider and Ron Eldard) was just that--but Clunes and Enfield invest this pair of clods with enough humanity to make their mishaps both excruciating and funny.

The second series brought a change in personnel, but the comedy remained the same: Two men at the mercy of their own worst impulses. Gary and his new roommate Tony ('70s flashback Neil Morrissey) both lust after their blonde upstairs neighbor Deborah, often humiliating Gary's "sort of" girlfriend Dorothy along the way. Deborah initially took a fancy to Tony, but a clumsy make-out session and some poorly timed comments turned her interest sour. Gary tries to steal a collectible record of Dorothy's, insults his secretary until she quits, makes a drunken pass at Deborah when they're trapped in an elevator, and generally acts surly, sneaky, and shiftless--all to good comic effect, thanks to Clunes's surprisingly subtle performance. Tony doesn't quite achieve three dimensions in the second series, but Gary's boorishness, though laughable and embarrassing, somehow maintains its humanity. By avoiding outright absurdity (while creeping awfully close to it), Men Behaving Badly keeps its audience emotionally engaged as well as entertained. --Bret Fetzer
