CYE in it's prime. 10 rock solid episodes. I haven't gotten a chance to look at the extra's yet but I would highly recommend this set and series to any fan of Seinfeld, the Office or anyone who likes improvisation or mocking the hollywood scene. Sometimes it gets so awkward it is hard to watch which is why it's so great. Fans of Curb should check out a movie with Tim Robbins called "The Player" for further exploration of Hollywood and TV/movie production.

From Earth to the Moon is worth watching. It is overlong but it does give an excellent understanding of the decade long effort involving 400,000 people to get men on the moon. We have almost forgotten what an incredible feat this journey was. This series reminds us.

While I was not alive during this time period, I really felt like I was living the Apollo program. I have watched documentaries and learned about our space flight history, but this series lets you live that history from different points of view from astronauts and engineers to the media and families. I was astounded at how well it was done. It was inspiring and I hope we experience another period in history like it where all of mankind was unified in watching a momentous event.

Can't give it enough stars! 5 out of 5 stars.

This is THE BEST dramatisation of the Apollo program that I've seen. Tom Hanks and his team have done an incredible job putting it all together.
I could say so much more but after reading some of the other reviews I see that it's aready been said.

All I will say is that if you are at all interested in learning about NASAs lunar program and the pioneering astronauts, watch this mini series.

I purchased both seasons of Rome as a Christmas gift for my non-history buff husband (well, actually because I wanted it). Both of us loved it! The production values are gorgeous, the actors do a spendid job of creating the characters, and the special features, especially All Roads Lead to Rome, are informative and add much to the experience.

Other reviewers have addressed the historical accuracy of the series so let me just say that we didn't care about the accuracy. We did some research on a few subjects that interested us, and found that on the whole, the series was accurate. As far as portraying the customs and mores of one of our parent civilizations, Rome did an excellent job of conveying the social and political climate that incubated Christianity. I can't recommend it highly enough--great stories, great acting, great costuming, great sets--what more could you ask?

Wonderful show with attention paid to every detail - settings, horses, armor, clothing, jewelery - so why do they have so many South American parrots...? One African Grey parrot - lovely to see - but there are lots of Macaws and Yellow Heads - definitely from SAm and I don't think Rome was trading with them at the time. Otherwise - a great show.

This is another example of a grade a, professional cast and crew in their prime. James G. was picked to do Tony Soprano for a reason.It never ceases to amaze me how the drama unfolds and boils right out the pot. Masterpiece!!!

This series tracks the life of Allen Millman (Ricky Gervais) and his friend Maggie through their days as film extras and Allen's subsequent rise to blue-collar sitcom fame. Each character in the series has such depth and unique comic appeal. The series is also peppered with guest stars including Kate Winslet, David Bowie, Orlando Bloom, and Robert De Niro. I thought the BBC Office was top notch, and did not expect the "extras" series to top it, but it surely did... Ricky Gervais' best work to date.

If you enjoyed seasons 1-4, there's no reason to stop there. Larry and the crew provide more laughs than one thought possible. The low point of the season may be the goofy season finale, but at the same time, it makes sense they would do what they did and it is in fact, quite comical. In contrast, I think that Kamikaze Bingo may be the highlight of the series. Between wishing for a man in a coma to die, being angry that his sandwich has capers, and accusing "you people" of being to loud and obnoxious, this season is a great ride. And the moral of the story is that you should invite sex offenders over on the holidays. Go get your copy and watch Chicken Teriyaki Boy in action.

Beautifully done series, particularly in the depliction of Rome's grubbiness and violence. Wonderful details like the description of the Aventine gangs and the fight for the grain trade. Naturally some inaccuracies, though I disagree with some reviews about series Rome's Cleopatra-I found her intelligent and determined to whatever was necessary to hold on to power, much like the historical Cleo. I do wish they could've given Brutus and Cassius a longer Philippi but here's a Rome series that actually mentioned Hirtius and Pansa...You can't ask for too much. What a shame it wasn't extended, but Mr. Heller...There's always Byzantium waiting to be done right.

The Beginning of the End 5 out of 5 stars.

Season 6 Part One of the Sopranos begins to set the scene for the series finale. At least that's how I viewed it. We got to see some older storylines that hadn't been brought up in years (Christopher's quest to make a screen play) come out of the shadows. We also begin to see characters growing up and changing due to recent events, like AJ handeling his fathers coma. We see the tensions with NY start coming to a head, a showdown, which is where it's been headed all along.

I thought Season 6 was a strong season. Not my favorite, as I still felt the Chris storyline weak. I didn't mind the Vito, it was sort of funny and unexpected, but yes maybe it didn't have to go on for so long. And I admit that AJ gets on my nerves more and more. But I found the relationship between NY & NJ fascenating, I couldn't look away. The tension is building and building with each episode until you are just dying to know how it ends!!

While it's sad to see this series coming to an end, it's good to see it building into an exciting finish.

Season Four is the greatest season so far and was pretty steady all the way through. The Car Pool Lane is probably the greatest episode so far, right up there with season 2's The Doll. The laughs just keep on coming with Larry offending everyone including Jews, Muslims, blind people, mentally retarded people, Holocaust survivors and Hasidic Jews. Of course, he always suffers for his behavior but then always comes alright in the end.

This set of episodes are particularly funny. They have many good actors and comedians acting like it is a reality show, when it is d's dry wit is exceptional. I only caution to watch one or two at a time to get the wit and wisdom of each.

I recently purchased seasons 2 & 3 of Curb your enthusiasm, one season is better than the next, my husband and I watch a couple of episodes a night. When I purchased them about a month ago, I paid about $19, when I went on to purchase seasons 4 & 5 the price is up to almost $30 That was very disapointing, the seasons are great, but not worth that much money. Why did they go up so much Amazon??????
