My 4 year old daughter loves this DVD! The stories are short and simple, the "monsters" are silly, and with 13 episodes, this gets us through a long car trip! I'd highly recommend this!!

I thought that the set was nice but, it would have been really nice to see some background on the kid actors that voiced Freddy, Velma, and Daphanie. The Transfor was great except for the final toon on the second disc... The sound seemed slow and the anamation seemed slow as well... Minor, but noticable... Bring on the final years WB... Please??? With sugar on the top?

I loved this series of Scooby-Doo when I was a kid and so now that my daughter has an obsession with Scooby-Doo I was happy to pick up the "Pup" series, season 1 for her. I'm a little disappointed however. There are some significant areas of the DVD transfer that left the animation sketchy. It should be much much clearer than it is. This isn't an issue with my TV or DVD player. Some parts of the show just seem to look like they've been ripped from an AVI. If it wasn't for the low quality DVD transfer I'd have given this a 5 star rating; as it stands now though, it's a 4 star.

My youngest has been a Scooby Doo Fan for most of her young life. Bringing out the Pup named Scooby series has made her one happy little girl. She has all the Scooby videos. Now she can start collecting the Pup movies. This one is her favorite.

FINALLY! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this show finally being released onot DVD! "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" was one of the best (not to mention funniest) Scooby Doo spin-offs. It ran from 1988-1991 and has had a home on Cartoon Network for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately Cartoon Network has butchered up the show with their non-sense 3 commercial breaks every show, so I am just relieved that this show will finally be releeased commercial-free. If you are a true Scooby Doo fanatic, this DVD is for you.

I found the DVD to be very cute. While the show is for young children, children of all ages will enjoy it.
These are actually really good, I was annoyed when my son wanted to see them, but they are good and funny 4 out of 5 stars.

I like Scooby Doo. In fact I would say some of my finest cartoon watching memories involve Scooby and the gang. When my son brought one of these home I turned up my nose, "it isn't the original."
But it actually is super cool. The show makes fun of itself a little, Shaggy is still Casey Kasum, Velma is adorable and when she walks her feet make this little tinky noise. Daphne is smarter but quite obviously vain. Fred is ridiculously dense. Scoob and Shagg are the same loveable characters.
It's a cute show and without being over the top preachy it walks the kids through solving the crimes. So if you are unfamiliar with a Pup named Scooby Doo, this is a really great show. Volume 2 has the following episodes: "For Letter Or Worse," "Babysitter From Beyond," "Snow Place Like Home," and "Now Museum Now You Don't."

Although I ordered Vol. 3 the DVD contained in the box was Vol. 4. That DVD
rated a 4 star review, but even after a replacement DVD was sent the same
problem occurred. The 1 star reflects quality control in packaging and
shipping.

I have always loved the "a pup named scooby doo" series and I was really excited to get this dvd. The episodes are pretty good on this dvd but they are really silly. My favourite episode is the "Curse of the Collar" because it has Scooby's family on it. I recommend this dvd to anybody who likes Scooby Doo! I just wish this dvd has bonus features!!! Why don't they put bonus features on it???

My son is a huge fan of Scooby Doo, so when we found these Pup series, we bought them. While they are cute and innocent and have the fun of exaggerated animation (hair going in all directions when scared, Scooby turning into a rocket when given a Scooby Snack), they aren't in the typical Scooby fashion of the older Scooby Doo series. They are imaginative and adventurous but if you are a Scooby Doo fan of the older series or of the "What's New Scooby Doo" series, then this is off the path.

You would think a Scooby-Do spinoff that has them as little kids would be appropriate for little kids. But Warner Bros. thought differently. They turned Freddie and Daphne into mean kids, added a recurring mean "bully" character, and made all the adults mean (in addition to being crooks, as usual).
Somehow, with the original series, the writers managed to create a permanent money machine and enduring hit while making every character nice. Is that impossible today?
This series is fine for adults who like cartoons but keep it away from your younger kids unless you want to teach them how to be bratty.
For younger children, go with Kipper the Dog, the Wiggles, even Dragon Tales--but avoid this Pup series. It's a dog.

more corporate greed ,they know people want complete seasons but they dont care..all these episodes will be realeased in volumes and after that they will be realeased in seasons just so they can milk you for every dime you have.they did the same thing with scooby doo where are you and the biggest joke was the twilight zone which had 43 ..thats right freakin 43 volumes and then after that they realease complete seasons..i think i'll pass on these volumes for now F-U-W-B
