I love this show, its the best on TV. This show hooks you from the begininng and pulls you in you want to know what happens next. I ended up watching this entire season in two days. A must for all you sci-fi buffs. My favorite episode in this season is Live together, DIE Alone.

One of the things LOST introduced me to was the Twilight Zone which J.J. Abrams was inspired. Besides this box set of season 2 of lost, I recommend a book also on Amazon.com. THE TWILIGHT ZONE: Unlocking the Door to a Television Classic by Martin Grams. Together, they both open the skies for cult television.

This was a fantastic series! Every episode is intensely smart, and the plots are fantastic. You will feel like you are actually learning how to profile serial killers as you watch this season, and you will fall in love with the characters.

The use of flashbacks (where they picture what the criminal might have done is very effective (though I was not a huge fan of them). The show also has many moments where a split decision can mean life or death, so it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Be warned! You will watch this show just like you watched '24', and you may try to watch the entire season in one sitting.

I'm surprised by the less-than-enthusiastic reviews for this show. All this stuff about the show not being realistic just shows how much we NEED more shows like this. What do I mean by that? SECRET LIFE was created by the same people behind SEVENTH HEAVEN, another series strongly rooted in Christian values that was attacked for that very reason.

Which is not to say that all the show's characters have strong faiths. Not at all. But what bugs me is that when teens are depicted as--gasp!--having values and NOT constantly rebelling against their parents, people see that as unrealistic. Kids today are already raised by t.v., movies and music; so what's wrong with giving them something positive to watch?

All in all, a very engaging, thought-provoking show that families can watch together.

This show is charming. It's about a cop who went to jail for a decade; he gets out when he's found innocent, and gets both his old job back (awkward!) and a massive cash settlement (shiny!). The basic daily show is about his doing his job with his new partner; the overriding story arc is about him solving the "who sent me to jail in the first place" puzzle.

Damian Lewis is frankly awesome; he plays an atypical character, someone full of rage and delight at the same time, trying hard to focus on the delight and not always succeeding. Sarah Shahi's character starts out stereotypical, but she brings some depth to the character that manages - if only barely - to overcome the inherent cliche they give her. One of the real charms for me is the way that all the characters are bound by the system: while they occasionally break the rules, the legal system is a fairly solid structure which binds all of their behaviors to one degree or another.

All in all I loved the show.

I love this show. It has everything and Tony Shaloub and Bitty Schram are simply brilliant. I was sad to see sharona go and the show managed to stay pretty good till the 5th season. Now, it is almost a parody....So sad, but seasons 1 and 2 are a knock out!

Contrary to the popular MYTH being perpetuated by the SciFi channel, The Dresden Files, FAR from being a low-ratings failure, was actually one of SciFi's top rated shows that season, ranked third and BETTER and at least TWICE surpassing the ratings for their "flagship" original series Battlestar Galactica.

The show had a little bit of everything to appeal to a broad range of viewers... supernatural elements, detective/mystery, humor, action.... coupled with a superlative cast who's character chemistry was some of the best ever assembled and special effects that neither were overdone or too cheesy. The show was one that the entire family could sit down and enjoy... not many of those shows around these days!

While the show grew in popularity and viewership as the season progressed, for some reason SciFi chose not to renew it. A huge mistake on their part as the continuing popularity of author/creator Jim Butcher's novels and now graphic novel comics, as well as the brisk sales of the DVD is proving that The Dresden Files was a great show that was not given the chance to live up to it's full potential.

I heartily recommend this DVD and also might suggest to the editorial reviewer here at Amazon that they check their facts with the Neilson ratings rather than the biased propaganda distributed by SciFi in regards to the true ratings status of this show.

Again both Seasons are worth watching for those who are interested in ancient history. The story line is fluid.
