This is a very well done crime information series. I applaud the attention to detail throughout the entire series. I am, however, especially drawn to this particular 'episode' because my daughter had the priveledge of playing the part of Kimberly Wilson in the crime reinactment sequences. I would recommend "Blood Splatter" to anyone who is interested in crime-scene investigation programs.

Editorial Review:

Blood spatter evidence first came to prominence in the murder trial of Dr. Sam Sheppard. We see how it has developed since 1955, and helped solve two Washington State cases. When Kimberly Wilson was found strangled, police went to tell her family--and stumbled upon the bodies of her father, mother, and sister, with blood splattered throughout the home. And when reporters for a Bainbridge Island paper discover blood dripping from their ceiling, police find the body of a brutally beaten woman.

Editorial Review:

In an investigation of crime scene alibis: we see how forensic science assists in sorting misleading evidence from potentially fabricated stories. In the murder case of Kathy Higdon: investigators find evidence pointing to a handyman who recently worked in her home. Find out how police prove that: indeed: her husband did it! Then: when DNA evidence in a rape/murder points to two suspects--identical twins--detectives must work in reverse and use witness testimony to prove which brother did it!

Editorial Review:

When two prominent Dartmouth professors were found murdered in their home in January 2001, the case attracted national attention. The killers left several significant clues in the couple's study, enabling New Hampshire police and forensic experts to solve the case in only three weeks. Then, Massachusetts State Police call in an arachnologist to help solve a murder when they discover that the perpetrator brushed off part of a spider web when he crawled through a cellar window to reach his victim.
