I have every season of The Simple Life and I have enjoyed the first seasons until season 4, when Paris and Nicole had their feud. But even though they didn't work together the season was fine. So now that they got together again to make season 5, I thought that the show was going to be really funny. But I really found it not so funny. This time they go to camp and there are not really fun scenes. I think that one of reasons can be, that they are in another stage of their lifes. I mean they are in their late 20's so making stupid things (Let's be honest. The show was fun because they were always making stupid things. Funny but stupid) is not so funny any more. And the other I think, was that there was nothing exciting in the stories that they made for this season.
I heard that season 5 is the closing season of the series. I think that it wasn't a good idea to end a show that had had success without closing it big.
Finally I must say that the DVD production is not good at all. It doesn't have special features. You can only find the usual DVD enhancements such as scene seletions or subtitles (this one includes subtitles in English, Spanish and French).
If you are a follower of the show, buy this one but if you want to buy a season for any reason. Try the first three seasons (the best ones for me are season 2 and 3).

Nicole + Paris = Hilarious! 5 out of 5 stars.

Coming into the second season strong Paris and Nicole know how to take the same senerio and make it fresh. In fact, all three seasons so far have seen these two rich socialites plucked from the norm (to them) and placed in a place that seems foreign with people who just don't understand them. The fact remains though, that these two girls survive by being themselves, incapable of work, unwilling to work, and unable to work...and they drive everyone insane and then redeem themselves with their charm and sweet hearts (they really are sweet girls)...So this season sees them cross country traveling from FL to Cali and the who way there they stop and live with families getting jobs you'd never expect them to do. The funniest episodes involve the Local Police Dept. where they use their new power to harrass the locals & the Nudest Colony where they are hired as maids and end up posing as guests, charging food to the room and calling for another maid to clean the room. Every episode is hilarious. Who ever said Paris was only worth her sex tape hasn't seen 'The Simple Life'...oh and I must add that this show is a hoot MOSTLY because of Nicole Richie who is HISTERICAL!

Admit it - people who watch this TV show is to watch Paris, it is just simply the fact!

It is definitely not a smart TV show in terms of the contents, but we sometimes just like to watch a stupid show, why not? As long as we are just the watchers who can have a great laugh, rather than the actors who have line of problems due to behaving dumb!

New elements have been added into this latest season 5, they are selling their inner heart, caring, to me this is done in order to show the other side of the girls, forget about the party animal, the drink and drive or the jail things, they are back with the brand new images and new way of works thing out, no matter what is the true reason behind, just enjoy the show.

I must say first off that I gave this season 3 stars because it is definately worth watching and owning if you are a fan of the show, BUT if I was rating it against the other seasons I would have to give it 2 stars. Was it the fued between the girls that brought this season down? Was it that the show was picked up by E! and left Fox? Was it that this season seems to start to make the girls shananagans a little scripted? I'm not sure, but it's still Paris and Nichole and they are still making me laugh, a little. Can't help but love 'em.

As much as I hate Paris and Nicole, it's like a guilty pleasure to see what trouble they will cause next. These shows are completely priceless and interesting. If you want to have a girls night in and watch something funny, try this dvd. Paris/Nicole fans or not, you'll be intrigued.

Probably tied at 1st with Season 2, the 3rd Season of the Simple Life brings huge laughs. Even though it has the most episodes of any of the Seasons it still leaves you wanting more Paris and more Nichole in the end. Unfortunately, Season 4 had to follow (for more on that read my review of Sn. 4) This is one you'll be watching again and again.

After seeing a little of this series, I thought that it wouldn't last too long, but I wish it could. But when I heard that there was a second season, I was joyous. But back to this season. My absolute favorite episode is "Sonic Burger Shenanigans." All the time when I see it I just crack up when they work at Sonic. First, they write innapropriate things on the marquee there, then they hold up their middle fingers at people passing by. Then they wear big costumes and run off to a store and run around and then tackle each other in the center of the store when their two bosses come and take them back. If that's not all, they eat on the job, take long and frequent breaks. Plus, Nicole clogs the onoin ring machine and ruins the rings. After their boss gives a bad report to the leading family's father, he is upset to hear that him and his family is blamed for not enforcing their rules on the girls. This in my opinion is the season's best episode.
