My son loved the wiggles. It was the only thing he would watch. Now that Greg is gone, none of the new ones keep his attention. They all seem to have a different vibb coming from them. Sam is a good singer but I'm guessing with a new singer and WB taking over the videos they just aren't the same. I own ever older wiggle but I will no longer buy the new ones. I read reviews and thought this one might be better and maybe they just needed to find a grove with all the new changes but it isn't working. I personally think it has become to digital enchanced for a child. The wiggles are not as much of it as they were or should be.
I'd Listen to it even if I didn't have 2 Wiggles Fans! 5 out of 5 stars.

I have not ever been such a giant fan of Sam, but this video really made me like him. The first two songs, in my opinion, are the best, but the whole video is great. I don't mind that my 2.5 year old watches it over and over. It normally takes my oldest daughter, who has autism, quite a while to get into a new DVD, but she took to this one immediately!

This is the best dvd with Sam thus far,in my opinion.The songs are catchy and get in your head(Sing a Song of Sixpence", "Over In The Meadow")."Turkey in the Straw" is fun with the turkey costume on Jeff,and comical dance moves.Sam's vocals are amazing,most notably in "Black Velvet Band",,"Rock a Bye Baby"(that's his wife Lyn he's dancing with),and "Over in the Meadow".The costumes are elaborate and beautiful,and Captain Feathersword makes an amusing Humpty Dumpty.This video is very entertaining,from my perspective.My children have pretty much outgrown the Wiggles,but I still buy their dvd's for myself,because they're THAT good!

The movie was a little slow in the middle with all of the nursery rhymes, but my daughter still loved it! At the end is a short clip from a live show. We saw the Wiggles live recently. Seeing the show again just thrilled my daughter!

The DVD is only about 48min of play time, which is short. But when finished it only cycles through one intro song before replaying. That is perfect. So it can run over a couple of times during our meal time with out a press of button.
This DVD is slower on energy, but really draws the attention of my 10 month son. He will watch and eat a full meal with no fuss.
Truely a great one!! Thank you Wiggles, we need more DVD's like this one with Sam!

My son loves this DVD....he is always asking for more. He loves the songs and the vivid skits that go with the songs. This DVD is a lot like the Wiggles TV show on Disney Channel so if your child likes the show...they will love this DVD. He is always on his feet dancing when I put this video on. We took a flight to DC this past weekend (6 hours) and when he got fussy I put on this DVD and he calmed down right away and started to dance in his car seat! Great job wiggles!

A beloved children's band from Australia, The Wiggles are four music-making guys: Jeff, Murray, Greg, and Anthony. When the Big Red Car (a whimsical dune buggy) won't start, or as the Wiggles say, no "Chugga, Cugga, Toot, Toot!," it's an ideal time to sing and dance. There are songs about walking across the street and eating foods that are healthy as well as some that are more familiar like "Head, Shoulder, Knees, and Toes" and "Look Both Ways." This is by far the worst Wiggles DVD. The songs are not interesting, not catchy and the entire DVD is by far the most boring Wiggles DVD in our collection. The songs also sound poorly recorded, the vocals are way in the background, arrangements are bad, not many wiggly dancers, this DVD completely is a waste of money. Pick up Top of the Tots (2004) and you'll see a big difference in the production/recording, and well thought out music. I hope they are not this bad in concert.

....Sam needs more of those voice lessons (he really is seeing a voice coach...so that he can learn to sing with a more appealing timber and with less vibrato). That voice coach is the same one that helped Greg Page to develop his singing voice. It may take Sam a while to do the same thing. It's harder to unlearn than it is to learn.

Both my children (age 5 and 18 months) love this video. I will also admit that I find Captain Feathersword pretty hilarious!

We love the Wiggles--me, my 3 year old son, and my 12 month old son too. Both my sons groove and dance to the Wiggles every time I put their music on. This video, however, was disappointing. It is a collection of nursery rhymes, which I knew before I bought the video, but I expected the songs to be Wiggle-ified, meaning, I thought these classic songs would be jazzed up and choreographed in their unique Wiggly way. However, these songs put us to sleep! Most are so slow! I don't know why they chose to slow down the tempo so much. My kids sit through the video but their eyes glaze over. I get bored too. There are lots of interesting costume changes, but costumes aren't what my kids care for. They like the upbeat get-up-and-dance music with simple, understandable themes and easy motions they can follow. This video does not provide that.
The only times my 3 year old grins and laughs is when Captain Feathersword pops out of the jack-in-the-box.
And I agree with a previous poster that Sam's voice is more musical theater. A great voice but not very Wiggly...I think his almost operatic voice was less approachable for my kids and harder for them to connect with. This video made us miss Greg!
Aside from the music, the video is well made. And I was glad to see that the other 3 Wiggles still have their energy and enthusiasm.
Update 8/5: We just went to the Pop Goes the Wiggles Live concert and it was FANTASTIC. If anyone is reading reviews here because they are anticipating going to the concert, then you should know that although this video isn't that upbeat and danceable, the concert IS. My 3 year old son wore himself out jumping up and down and dancing like crazy. Sam has an awesome voice and I was able to appreciate it more live than on video. I was very impressed with him and the whole concert. Sam is now my son's favorite Wiggle!

Wonderful Christmas video! We were shocked that in this politically correct world they (very popular kid's entertainers) actually still make videos that talk about the true meaning of Christmas, Baby Jesus!!! Kudos to the Wiggles! Both my kids love it!! They are almost 4 years old and 14 months old! Buy it, buy it!!!!

What can I say.. I have a 2.5 year old addicted to this movie!! But I love it cause as I play my Christmas CD's around the house he will sing Silent night with me & knows the words cause he loves watching this movie & they sing Silent night too!! Very catchy tunes!! I catch my 10 & 12 year old glued now & then too as they pass through the room!! :) Enjoy!

This is the best Wiggles Christmas video. The set and production quality is low budget but the songs are so upbeat and catchy we have such a hard time putting it away in January! This is our third christmas with this video, and I hope they are not too old for it next year because my husband and I both love it too!

This is a great Wiggles video. Wiggle Time is our second favorite Wiggles video. (Top of the Tots is our #1 because the songs are our favorites.)
This video had my 1 and 3 year olds mesmerized from the opening moment. Wiggle Time has fun songs, dancing, kids, all the favorites like Dorothy the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword, a magic trick and some live footage from a Wiggles' concert. We have watched it over and over again.
We love it and sure you're toddlers will too. It's Wiggle Time!
An absolute favorite 5 out of 5 stars.

For the non-Australians out there, the Wiggles are a quartet of male songbirds reminiscent of the Monkees, but aimed at the Barney-watching set. The Down Under foursome sings about mashed bananas and hot potatoes, dances with the energy of fitness instructors, and makes mild attempts at being educational. (Three of the four met while studying early childhood education.) Their stab at multiculturalism results in the Jewish song "Havenu Shalom Alachem." Joining them are a big green dinosaur named Dorothy (seem familiar?), Henry the giant purple octopus, Wags the Dog, and a man in a pirate suit called Captain Feathersword. The songs are catchy, the dancing vigorous, and the outfits colorful approximations of the uniforms worn by the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A couple of the haircuts look like they might have been acquired on the spaceship as well. The 15-song video runs 33 minutes long and claims to be appropriate for ages 1-8, but will most likely appeal to preschoolers and kindergartners. --Kimberly Heinrichs
